The only thing I don 't particularly love about these books is that parents don 't tell the new baby about the little bear. It's just mommy tummy is growing and Pa bear takes our little bear to make a new bed for him when he returns home mamma bear had the baby and then uses the old bear to make a new bed for him, then my daughter still likes it as we just had our little boy.

Not what I expected but love the Berenstain bear books!
Bought for my three year old son who is going to be a big brother. The book doesn't really explain a lot about being a big brother, and it doesn't touch on making any changes when the baby comes home, but my son loves the Berenstain bears, so he liked it! Not an educational type of book to help them prepare, but works to get them ready to share and hopefully become excited with a new baby.

   Love but hoped for more
We love BB books, but hoped that this would address issues that toddlers might have with a baby. In this book, Papa grows his bed and he and Brother go out and build another. When they come back, his baby bed is in Mama and Papa's room, with his little sister in it. He thinks it is big to be a little brother. Our son still enjoys the book, and it reinforced the idea that things in our house could change and that it could be something to look forward to. Can use this to teach younger siblings to pass things down to younger siblings.

Great book for the soon to be Big Brother or Sister
We bought this book for my third year old, as we were preparing to welcome our second baby into the world. I think this book did a great job of helping me prepare her for her new little sister. I have always loved the Berenstain Bears and this book was no different. I definitely recommend it if you are helping a little one prepare for a new brother or sister!

Book has stood the test of time
This is the sweetest book whether a child is expecting a sibling or not. I bought this for our second son 30 years ago when I was pregnant with our oldest. I bought just 2 to present to our 2 granddaughters expecting their first siblings. Very informative, but not TMI about the new baby.

not helpful - most in series offer parenting help - fun too
This series usually loves this series - this one offers not new advice to parents and siblings adjusting to real bay.

The book was OK, but I was expecting that they would prepare brother for a baby, but all they do is Papa and Brother goes to make Brother a bigger bed because he outgrew it and when they get back home, there is a baby in his old bed. If you are trying to prepare your child for a baby, I would suggest a different book.

... a more lengthy introduction (Longer than a few pages like most little kids board books are) to our 2 ...
This book is a more lengthy introduction to our 2 year old daughter about being a big sister, however it has great illustrations and the story of sharing a great sibling is great and she loves when we read it to her and has taken the book to bed with her most nights. I would recommend this book highly ''.

   Not a fan
This book places the emphasis on the little bear growing up and out of his small bedcrib. Papa Bear and Little Bear head out to make him a bigger bed and when he asks “what will happen to my little bed?” Mama Bear responds, “don 't worry about that small bear. While making the bed papa bear finally tells him about the baby on the way and when they return home from making the new bed mama bear has a new baby using the crib. My search for a book to prepare my oldest for a new sibling led me to this book, but it was a big disappointment. It was basically too big for your bed, oh look at the baby here and here is your bigger bed.

   A Perfect Generational Book
My boys grew up with Berenstain Bear books and now it is such a joy to share this book with my grandson while waiting for Baby Sister! This book has stickers, which is so much better!
