   A Good cook's secret
A wonderful book, said James McIntosh, food editor at HarperCollins. She knows her way around a casserole! It has produced the all time best scalloped potatoes, pot and lasagne ever. I did not grow up in a casserole-oriented household and never learned this style of economic, time-efficient cooking, Mrs. Buttercup said. She has easy recipes for replacing those nasty tomato pastes with genuine Italian sauces. This style of cooking appeals to time-pressed cooks who are looking for healthy, nutritious options. Though she has a definite fondness for cheese, I will say she can change it up a bit.

   Made from scratch sauces!!
I also enjoyed the quick mix and match casserole section at the beginning of the book, where the author gives you the basic instructions to make your own casseroles with your family's favorites or with whatever you happen to have lying around in the kitchen.

   Not your mother's casseroles!
It's the first book written by someone who has either been trained as a chef or simply is naturally talented. It's nice she gave everyone that choice, Beckham said. Twister is a good idea, said Dr. Aronov. She also teaches you how to create your own casseroles. Very NICE! There are thousands of people out there who don't know how to cook and thousands of them are writing cookbooks. It's to come across a book that I don't have to tear the nice recipe down into proper procedures before I can even start to understand what the writer is trying to accomplish, Graham said. Thanks, Beatrice.

If you want to impress someone, buy this book. For everyday family cooking, skip it.
The best I can say for this book is that it's just okay, Raymond said. I never thought I would say that about a casserole cookbook. If I am going to spend the money on salmon or crab or a fine cheese, I am going to prepare a traditional meal with it, not throw it in a casserole. Many of these recipes are not kid-friendly. If your kid is a picky eater, there is no such book for him. This is not a book I would ever use for everyday cooking.

   Very high calorie casseroles
There are huge amounts of eggs, high-fat dairy, and even meat substitutes. The ones I tried had almost no seasoning left over. It's a tad greasy, but I'm not complaining. U.S. troops are battling Iraqi forces in the northern town of Mosul.

   Tons of Recipes
The book offers over 250 recipes, many of which are easy to prepare. I will be revisting the recipes in here, just hope they taste as good as they sound. There are very few pictures of the dishes, but those that were taken looked delicious.

A treasure for potlucks, breakfasts, and family gatherings
There are several dozen cookbooks. Clear and complete Diirections are visible. They recommend the Spinach, HAM, and EGG CASSEROLE. SOUTHWESTERN BREAKFAST CASSEROLE, HAM AND CHICKEN PIE, BREAKFAST EGG AND SUN-DRIED GRUYRE CHEESE, ROASTED SWEETIONS WITH HERBS AND GRUYRE, and, certainly not least, PUFFY OVEN APPLE PANCAKE, were just some of the delectable creations that graced the plate.
