Perfect for Summer
Derived From Web , Jun 5, 2020
I recommend this book to any parent with a 6 year old. It will be for him to be able to review what he learned, over the summer, before he starts his second year of school. The pages are so colorful and fun, that it almost seems more like play than work, he said.

Avoid if you want to educate your kids
Derived From Web , Apr 13, 2020
The second part of the story talks about how cg sounds are created. It's just that nobody has come forward with an explanation of when it would be a soft sound. Another book goes into more explaination and what vowels will identify the sounds. A list of all the words on the crossword, plus some alternate clues. No wonder the kids can't figure out which words go where. A math page will have eight equations to do, that's it, in large font so it fills up the whole page. Very disappointed with the book.

Mixed satisfaction
Derived From Web , Mar 26, 2020
A lot of different kinds of activities, too, he said. My problem with it is that the reading is too challenging and the math too simple. Even with the help of a few reading buddies, it's hard for toddlers to get independent work. There are some basic sight word activities that I wish there were more of. Whereas the math section involves a lot of counting and not a lot of adding and subtracting, the English portion is more difficult. Even if the math wasn't so elementary, I think it would be more appropriate for a kindergartener. A little less reading would be helpful, he said.

Super fun activities, but not enough practice
Derived From Web , Jul 7, 2019
The workbooks are jam-packed with activities that are super fun and engaging. The only thing I dislike is that the worksheets jump up to the next concept quickly with very little practice of the one prior to it. I feel like this could be two books to give them that practice before they move on, Thibault said. It's just a supplement, but we want as much practice as we can get!

A Book That Makes Learning Truly FUN
Derived From Web , Nov 3, 2018
We love the colorful illustrations, high quality print, and variety of activities that are both entertaining and educational, Raymond said. I just left the book on my son's desk and he started to read and work on the puzzles all by himself, Mrs. Dhaliwal said. No parent or guardian is needed to supervise the child. My child couldn't have enough of it and already asked for more challenging activities.

Covers all the basics in an attractive layout with varied puzzles
Derived From Web , Jul 15, 2018
We bought this workbook because we've enjoyed subscriptions to the magazine over the years for our two kids and we hope this would be just as big a hit with our almost first-grader. We like the inside layout, the sturdiness of the cover and pages, the vivid colors, and eye-catching but not overwhelming illustrations, Simon says. It also includes all the basic review concepts, but introduces things like creative writing prompts, word searches, and crossword puzzles.

Fun educational activity book

The other workbooks are scattered across our downstairs bookshelf, while he prefers to keep this one in his room. He is in bed with it as we speak reading through it before he goes to sleep, it's just that.
