   Wonderful collections of Blue Zone recipes
There is a lot of background information about the zones in this book, with appetizing recipes and full-color photographs of each zone. Some basic ingredients, such as cashews cream, are included. There are many choices for vegetarians and vegan.
   Pretty for decorating the shelves
The book is not special. The countries that they came from were not interesting to read through the recipes. I marked 4 reveries that I would like to try, but that is not enough to justify a recipe book. There isn't a single meat recipe in the cook book and that is a deal-breaker for me.
Excellent food. Don't allow healthy food to trick you. In this book, it is both delicious and delicious. I lift weights and run. I like to drink. I love BBQ and am Texan. I eat vegetarian 4-5 days a week. This book has a good balance of goodness that doesn't leave you needing a nap after reading it.
   LOVE it - this is more than a cookbook.
The book is set up in a way that I love. It's a work of art and tells stories that match the recipes. Simple and easy, the recipes can be modified to enhance flavor. If you're familiar with the Blue Zones, I'd recommend this book as a gift. It's more than that and it's not a typical cookbook. If you can enjoy it for what it is, a window into the kitchens and the lives of people who live the longest, and the stories that accompany their lifestyles, then you will love it.
   Tried 7 recipes so far, and very easy to follow and make and tastses yummy
I am a minimal SOS. The book is good. The over reliance on nuts in the cookbook makes the recipes useless in the nut free home. It's an excellent book to lend out to help people see that comfort food is easy to make and increases longevity.
   Fascinating read!
I love this book! I don't know if I will make all the recipes, but I will ponder the information. When the Today Show aired 5 segments on this book in December, they said if you could just take away at least 6 recipes to incorporate into your diet, you would be helping yourself. I am ready to try more than 6. Highly recommended!
   This book gave off a very acrid odor
There was something wrong with the book. I felt a little queasy after it gave off a very stinky odor in the room. Leaving it in the garage for a few days didn't solve the problem. I can't say anything about the book. I was never able to use it.
   Need specialty spices
Most recipes require spices not found in grocery stores. Will not make any of these recipes.
   Eleni's sour dough bread recipe from the book
I have never reviewed a recipe from a book on Amazon. The recipe is bad. I searched for blue zone sour dough bread recipes after cooking it up. The recipe in the book calls for one cup of water, but most recipes call for two cups. The cooking temperature and time were not good because it was still raw in the middle after 15 minutes. It's a fail. I wasted a lot of time. The Blue Zone author should use a recipe tester.

Do you want to live a long, healthy, vigorous life? Go to the Blue Zones route. Absolutely wonderful photographs. Easy recipes without ingredients and informative texts. Within the five Blue Zones regions, the simple, tasty meals outlined in the Blue Zones Cookbook are easily prepared. Getting a glimpse at the older, joyful folks who embrace this inspiring lifestyle has encouraged both my husband and I to continue on our Blue Zones path! We loved all of the Blue Zones books. This one brings longevity into my kitchen. It's!
