This book is both a useful introduction and an overview and an in depth study of J. Krishnamurti's expression of the involution and evolution of consciousness growth towards the Oneness of Life. I benefited from reading this book for exactly one year and grew in my understanding of the essential message of J. Krishnamurti's lifelong message to humanity by reading it one short passage at a time each day for a year. Of course, while reading this book or even after completion, you may want to consider reading more than one of his many intriguing books. In the meantime, you can purchase this book with confidence in my opinion.

The Book of Life - for those who want to live and love
Derived From Web , Jun 24, 2021
Once I read Krishnamurti's freedom from the known, my life was never the same. The truth in the dialogues in this book are truths that are hard to see once. Even so, I found myself wanting to read a little more each day. Since reading the book daily, I have purchased several meditations. I recommend Krishnamurti to anyone who knows that there is a light in this universe, but for whom the sacred texts leave much to desire. Krishnamurti's dialogues, as preserved in the text, teach us that we are that light, and there is no path to the sacred truth and light. We are in it and we are that light, and only our conditioning stands in the way.

Unimaginably honest and thought provoking
Derived From Web , Feb 6, 2021
A reader new to spirituality or psychoanalysis might find the book difficult to read, but this is by far the most realistic book I have read on spirituality or self-discovery. Surprisingly, nothing mystical about JK and his writings.

Why not publish this in hard cover
Derived From Web , Feb 14, 2020
It will bring you joy and enlightenment in a common sense, self-discovering fashion. I'm deeply annoyed that the publishers have not made this classic in soft cover, since the reader will use it over and over again for years and hard covers won t last. Then profit reigns, Oh well.

the hard truth is better than a sweet lie
Derived From Web , Jul 15, 2017
During a very dark period of my life, this book kept me from losing my mind. This book helped me to see a direction clear to sanity, to peace. When I find myself sliding back into patterns of doubt and self-hatred, I make myself sit with this book each morning. Despite what many people believe, the hot truth is better than a hard lie.

Great Book on Finding Truth For One's Self
Derived From Web , Feb 5, 2017
For someone who wants to discover truth for themselves without reading a guru's workshop or taking someone else's knowledge, I would recommend this book. My first suggestion would be to watch the free YouTube videos of Krishnamurti's recordings. The book then serves as a philosophical guide to his companion teachings. Teachings are different, but similar at the same time to those of non-duality.
