I didn’t know we could rebuild coral reefs!
Derived From Web , Jul 9, 2019
Everything I heard and read about coral reefs is terribly depressing. Like-you will see that coral reef in the next ten years or there won 't be one to see! I think all the challenges and urgency on this are real and important, but I was really surprised to learn from a children's book that it is possible to grow coral species. I then looked into it, and it is sort-of! My children loved this book for the interesting story and because I think it gave them some inspiration that small actions to make in the Earth and the oceans matter. The water color pictures are also seriously mesmerizing and appear fairly scientifically accurate, too.

This is a story about someone who captures and sells creatures captured on coral reefs
Derived From Web , Oct 19, 2018
There are plenty of other individuals and organizations engaged in coral farming that neither capture nor promote the capture of marine creatures from endangered coral reefs to be sold for aquarium hobbyists.

This book is one of the most beautiful 2018 picture books! And the best part is that it is based on Ken Nedimyer's wonderful work. Until I picked up this book, I had no idea who he was. It is basically an educational eye candy!
