Book Overview

Bruce is a bear who struggles with fun.
When Bruce says no to fun one too many times, Nibbs, Thistle, and Rupert secretly wish Bruce was more fun. And the geese secretly wish for sandwiches. The next morning, all their wishes come true. Bruce is cheerful. Bruce is adventurous. Bruce has pizzazz . . . and a basket of sandwiches.
Except Bruce is not exactly Bruce. Hes Kevin, Bruces fun cousin. Nobody knows that Bruce has gone fishing. Nobody knows that Kevin is coming. Nobody even knows who Kevin is. But, everyone quickly learns one thing: Kevin LOVES fun.
Is it possible that too much fun is no fun at all?

   Oh so cute and funny!
My 5 year old grandson loved it, and I think it's great reading. Even the parents get some laughs from it.

   Favorite
It's great to be back with friends, and I've been subscribed to book club for a few years as a gift. In fact, my cousin said this is her daughter's favorite book. She also thanked her mom for reading the reviews and for "being excited for Mila to read it."

Absolutely love the Bruce series of books.
Always a good lesson to learn, Bully said. He added that too much of a good thing is just too much. The illustrations are great.

   Another great book
It was a great read, and my two granddaughters immediately fell in love with the book. It was a great story, told by Gen. Bob Baker's widow, Sandra, and the grand daughters. Brand new customers are always welcome, Mr. O'Neill said.

Great addition to our Bruce library!
We're huge fans of Bruce. We have all of the other Bruce books so we didn't hesitate to preorder this one when we saw it coming. It was a smash hit.

Buy and you will want the whole series of Bruce books.
Bruce has a very good reputation. My grandkids and I can't wait for a new book. Many people find the sketch to be very funny.

This series remains a family favorite!
We're huge fans of the Bruce series, Raymond said. Indeed, we pre-ordered this book as a result of our interest in Gillian. A young couple falls in love with a sweet story with great illustrations by J.R. O'Neill.

   Bruce should have stayed home.
Bruce has a very good reputation for writing great fiction, and this one is no exception. I'm not wild about it, Mrs Clinton said. I'm a huge fan of Bruce Willis. He’s gone in this one and the wild cousin didn’t have the same entertainment when reading. And I did see the message: 'Do not play with fire.'

   Another great Bruce tale
It was a surprise to me when I got it today that it was a surprise delight to receive it. He was upset about bedtime until he saw the new Bruce book on his bed. Like a couple of the other Bruce stories, it runs maybe a touch long for a younger kid like mine's attention span, but that's not advertised as the target age and means it will grow with him. The illustrations are always enjoyable, and the plot is fresh and witty. I feel like it could be tricky to come up with new stories that involve Bruce, his geese, and the three mice without feeling repetitive, but Ryan Higgins does a good job there. I would say this is not my favorite in the series, but probably only due to my bias toward Christmas stories. We gobble these books up, and this addition exceeded my admittedly high expectations for the series, he said. It's great to be back home, said Blair.
