Catcher in the Rye
Chuck Goldman , Oct 27, 2022
This is a book which every generation should read and pass along to the next generation. A well told tale that keeps your attention from page 1 to page last. Perfect beach/airplane read. Enjoy!

I didn't like this book. I don't write a negative review, but this book is boring and too dark for my taste.

Quality poor

Poor printing and low quality books. The covers are thin and easily torn. Very disappointed!

Way overrated!
Derived From Web , May 2, 2021
I just finished this book, and I am wondering why it is considered a classic. Is it because Chapman MD had it on him? If the show was about nothing, then this is a book about nothing. Nothing happened. There were no major events. There was nothing shocking. Nothing memorable. No! I think it's a good thing! The story is about a slacker who gets kicked out of school. That is it. He calls every old one before their names, it is annoying. The use of the word Goddam is used every other word. When he says after almost every statement that it really is. It's really annoying. I would rather read a novel about teen angst and teen alienation than read a novel about it.

Trying to Grab the Classics
Derived From Web , Apr 9, 2021
I have a nice collection of classic books, and I remember reading these books as a child. I was worried that this one would disappear as many of the old books are being pulled. I'm happy to have this in my collection.

I finally gave it a try after avoiding it during my college days. Can't believe this is a classic.

Reading is fundamental
Derived From Web , Aug 10, 2020
I am glad I got this book. I decided to read the top 100 bucks in history. I have already read a bunch of books, I thought they were just books, but they are on the list and I have two more books coming.

Terrible book.
Derived From Web , Jan 27, 2020
What did I read? I didn't like the book. The way he talks and his case of mental illness were almost too upsetting to finish the book. I am in a reading challenge and I can not waste time starting another book.

The Catcher In The Rye
Derived From Web , Jan 5, 2020
I had a list of books to read during my life. I finished the book. Being trapped within the mind of a teenage boy was not something I enjoyed. I enjoyed reading it.

Meh.
Derived From Web , May 23, 2019
I found it to be over-hyped. I was lost as to why it became the anthem for some of the more colorful society members.
