What a waste of time, Mr. Dhaliwal said. It's great to have all the reference material in one place, but I found it outdated, a lot of which I didn't need. This is a great introduction to the world of veterinary medicine, and also to medical care of chicks. She would do well to keep it beginner-level chickadees, eggs, feed, a step by step on coop with actual plans and photos. I'm not a huge fan of beets, but I can figure out how to plant them in my coop. It's great to have that separate book, Hachette said. Maybe they could have their own book? But I found it to be beginner level mixed with expert opinion mixed with facts and no brainer in with what I really wanted to know. What a waste of time, energy and money, Michaela wrote in an e-mail. I’ll look for books about coops and stick to a great step by step about how to build one, he said.

Great Guide!

Yes, I have several chicken keeping books, but this is my go-to guide. In the last few months I got rid of mites on my hens, made a better coop bedding choice and nursed a sick chicken back to health following the author's advice. She also has a great blog, which has some great videos. So happy with this book that I've preordered her next one.

I especially recommend this book to everybody dreaming of having chickens in their yard or those who have already taken the plunge. Her research is thorough and well-researched. This book is amazing for down to earth, real life, and easy to follow backyard chicken keeping, Raymond said. Kathy sticks with the facts on how to raise and keep your chickens healthy. Thanks to all of Kathy's wonderful supporters, I am able to find all of her very helpful information through her website and blog articles. I have used her advice and wealth of information many times in my first year as a backyard chicken keeper. This book is a must have for any chicken keeper. Pictures are amazing as well!
