I can 't even explain the annoyance that flows through me. Don 't translate Greek poems written by Sappho of all people if you are going to make them heterosexual when Sappho speaks specifically for women.

A Disappointment

I am always concerned when a translator decides that names must be updated after centuries of usage. This happens here and I found it very annoying, distracting, and a little pompous. Very disappointing, because I liked the format and production of the book itself.
