   Worth the effort
I had read the reviews about the cheap binding on this cookbook, so I was not surprised to find the cover had separated from the book before I even removed it from the shipping box. But it was a simple task to run to the copy center to remove the spine and have the book bound for $4.00. Cookbooks should be spiral-bound anyway to allow them to lay flat when you use them. I love the recipes and all the hints in this cookbook are definitely worth the effort.

   Get this cookbook
I decided to eat vegetarian a long time ago. And I hadn't purchased a cookbook for a long time, just gathering recipes and tips randomly. This cookbook has changed everything. In a place, I found reliably excellent dishes that everyone will enjoy, non-vegetarians too. The authors'tests and research is sound. The resulting dishes are delectable. Nice pictures too.    the binding is disgraceful and the pages fall out
The recipes are explained well and exact measurements of the ingredients are given, but the quality of binding is disgraceful, the covers separated from the binding within the first month, then the pages began separating from binding. I have several other ATK cook books that are still great after 5-7 years in great shape.

   Books don't hold up
I love the recipes in this book and all my other books 'test kitchen America ''. The problem is that the book itself does not hold well. I would hope that it would be made with a higher quality at $25 per book. The binding is already wearing and I have so many loose pages.

   Love the Cookbook, Hate the Binding
The recipes in this cookbook are awesome, but fell apart after using the cookbook a few times. I work at a library and handle a lot of books... This shouldn 't happen.

   An Amazing Cooking Education
I have been impressed with the Cook's Country television show, their magazine, their vegetarian cookbook and now their meat cookbook. This cookbook provides veganvegetarian education on how to cook amazing dishes. By amazing education, I mean talking about how to cook the different vegetables for cooking with lots of pictures, why the ingredients work together at the beginning of the recipe, lists of Asian noodles or chili peppers or spices with pictures and what they are used for : There are also plenty of tips on how to add a twist to recipes to keep them interesting. This cookbook is bright and clean, well laid and with easy to follow instructions. I highly recommend this cookbook for seasoned cooks, but especially for those who are just getting started with the art of cooking. P.S. P.S. : The meat cookbook is just as amazing and educational.

   Fantastic Cookbook
Goes in detail from cutting vegetables, how to prepare them, best combinations, cooking do's and don 'ts and of course, amazing recipes.

   Great pictures, but unhealthy recipes.
I did not have any problems with the binding on my cookbook, I did not have any problems with the binding. It has been a year and is still fine. Lots of pictures, easy to follow instructions and no strange ingredients. The only thing about this cookbook that bothers me is that quite a few of the recipes are really not healthy at all. Tons of cheese, eggs, dairy products and oil are used in the recipes. My husband has some cardiac problems and there is a lot of cholesterol in these recipes. If you are looking for healthy recipes, this is definitely not the book for you. If you are only looking for recipes without meat, this is OK for you.

   Don't be a beginner
Definitely not a basic cookbook for beginners. If you are someone who has some experience in the kitchen, I would get this. Although the book tries to appeal to a beginner, but you will be quickly overwhelmed.

A little bit overwhelming and much larger than I realized, but the recipes we tried so far have been great. The cauliflower curry is a new staple and I look forward to using the same sauce recipe with other vegetables. In the front of the book as well as in the back of the book, lots of great info and ideas and great photos throughout.
