This is a big book!

A friend in my Bible study group recommended that you read If you will ask. I finished reading some of My Utmost for His Highest but never finished. I've started on my Kindle and got the single book If You Will Ask. As I looked at the list of titles I saw a few others, studies Sermon on the Mount, transformed according to his image, If you ask and since I never owned My Utmost, I wonder if they have a complete work. For a few days, I battled with the price and then gave in. This is a large workbook. It contains over 1,500 pages, its packed cover, hard cover and hard bound. I can not carry it to study with me, so I have to work for only half the time at home. I wish the text were larger, but I will receive a magnifying glass. So far my favorite is if you will ask.

For many years, I have been immeasurably blessed by the works and writings of Oswald Chambers. His level of spiritual maturity, insight and understanding of the Word of God and the ability to communicate that as a timeless, yet relevant application that promotes godly growth and maturity is sorely absent in our current day of generally sloppy Bible teaching and God manipulating preaching. Having all his writings in a volume makes for a great resource at your fingertips for the serious student of the Bible, both as personal study and devotional material.

Made with extremely CHEAP paper

This book is printed on a cheap paper. They probably did this to allow them to get all the books together into a big book. The book is still readable, but you have the shadow of the words from the next page on the page you are reading. I would have bought the book anyway because of the content, but I would have paid more for better paper or even two volumes on a better paper.

Uneniably one of the best Christian education books available - Oswald Chambers was blessed with great knowledge and wisdom, which he shares in this book. These writings are derived from the lectures he gave in his own school. The neat thing is that after reading the book and buying it, you can go online to a site and have the entire book pulled in PDF file, so that you can reference material by a specific name of the Bible. As far as shipping goes, I would have poorly rated Amazon because the ends of the box were not sealed and the invoice was missing BAD security measures.
