   Great Book
I read the movie years ago, but never saw the book until a recent vacation. Great site. From beginning to end, full of suspense.

   Exciting Ride
This is for those who like adventure and gripping stories. You might lose some sleep, but it is worth it definately.

   old but still good !
Book is excellent. Until very end, very suspensful. Forsyth is a master at these books, one may have previously read it, but too complicated to have remembered all the details.

   Full of suspense!
I could not stop reading this book. I loved the detail that the author went into as far as the lengths into which the assassin would go to his goal.

still the best after all these years
This is a great book, fast paced, suspensfull, interesting characters, much better than the movie, though the movie holds pretty well, too.

Good cat and mouse chase, but super slow
Then my dad recommended this book because he read it as one of the best thrillers he ever read. Well, to be honest, I did not really enjoy it. The book had its moments, but was ruined by the enormous amount of details that the author puts in even the most trivial things. I'm all in details in a Murakami novel, but this one has me bored to death. The book takes really well after reading 50% of it, and that only takes forever. After that, the pace is good, but with a lot of okayish moments. All in all, a fine read.

   A tightly paced, exciting story
The attention to detail, not just the plot, but the characters and locations are top notch. If you have seen the movie, reading the book is still worth the time. If you have not seen the movie yet, you are in for a real treat. I won 't rehash it here. But it will keep you guessing at things until the very end. If you read good political thrillers and have not yet read this book, you will not be disappointed when you appreciate it. It is a classic for good reasons.

   FANTASTIC!!
I am not really a fan of novels, preferring true stories instead -- especially anything and everything about U-boats. But I am glad that I made an exception in this case. It was hard to remember that it was just fiction. I read the Odessa file, which was also good, and ordered The Fox. Author of great!

One of the original action thrillers.
Extra star was awarded for being one of the pioneers of the cerebral action thriller novels. I appreciated the authors'ability to be true to the story and build believable ancillary characters. The tech and weapons seem a bit dated now, but they should be, as this story is almost fifty years old, but still a really enjoyable read.
