   Not what I expected, but...
I' ve read a lot of JP books and liked them all. When I ordered this one, I didn't bother to read the reviews. It didn't take long to realize this was not the same. I couldn't stay with it through most of the book. When I start a book out of respect to the author, I rarely stop reading. After the halfway point of the book, I began to be curious. The details in the book gave me a better idea of what happened. The book is entertaining, but be prepared for some frustration as you read it.

   100% interesting
A biography of Barry Slotnick, a lawyer to mob bosses and a subway shooter. It is a collection of stories about his court cases. There were no pages that were not interesting.

   A Difficult READ
This book would be interesting to read. I thought it was going to be biographical. It's for lawyers to read. He is able to get his clients to be found not GUILTY. It is difficult to read since all his clients are hardened criminals. Is the justice being done? It's hard to be happy for him when he's happy about not guilty. Irving was disappointed.

   not for me
I prefer James Patterson's fiction over non fiction. I already watch ID channel and Law and Order.

   Exhaustive research
The bio of Barry Slotnik is great. Would have liked to hear more about those cases. There is too much material on the trial.

   A very tedious read
No character development. A lot of law cases by this egotistical lawger. The most boring author of all time! ?

Beware, this NOT fiction, though description does NOT tell you that
JamesPatterson is known for non fiction. There is nothing on the book jacket or the description of the book that tells you this is not fiction, but a true crime case in NYC in the 70s. I read about it in the newspapers. I didn't need to be misled into buying this book.

Awesome Read about an Awesome Lawyer
I already knew that Barry Slotnick was an amazing lawyer, but reading this book is very inspiring. The drama was exciting and easy to understand. What is a movie?
