The Empty Pot is Demi's beloved picture book about an honest schoolboy

A long time ago in China there was a boy named Ping who loved flowers. Anything he planted burst into bloom.

The Emperor loved flowers too. When it was time to choose an heir, he gave a flower seed to each child in the kingdom. Whoever can show me their best in a year's time, he proclaimed, shall succeed me to the throne

Ping plants his seed and tends it every day. But month after month passes, and nothing grows. When spring comes, Ping must go to the Emperor with nothing but an empty pot.

Demi's exquisite art and beautifully simple text show how Ping's embarrassing failure is turned triumphant in this satisfying tale of honesty rewarded.

This story is a gem for explaining what honesty is...
This a delightfully easy story to read, the word to picture ration is wonderful even for your most impatient listener, said Dr. Chester Floyd, a noted British GP. This is a great story, full of great insight and conversation, about honesty and integrity. If anyone has any questions, I would be happy to hear from you. She also noted that we totally recommend and receive no discount for our review or with our purchase, but would be happy to leave feedback if this was helpful to you.

Read this to your kids and grandkids!
I think this is a lovely story about the importance of being honest, Bruno said. It's just that his 3 year old grandson asks me to read it again and again.

   Lovely Book!
We just loved this book, we're reprinting it. It was my 8-year-old who brought it home. It is a very good story, with a moral message which keeps you guessing until the end of the story. Really nice graphics. A great book. I'm thinking of buying a couple more books to have on hand for birthday gifts.

   Five Stars
The exact same story as Koa's Seed, but much cheaper. It's a very moving story about integrity, Pope John Paul said.

   Great Story
I've read all the books, but this is by far the best. I have an old copy and I wanted to keep it.

This is such a sweet story. It has a lovely message and seriously ...
This is truly heartwarming, said Blair, "especially when you consider the impact that Hurricane Katrina had on the people of New Orleans." It has a lovely message and seriously breath-taking illustrations, it's just too good to read.

   A Book that Builds Character
The book teaches the virtue of honesty. This message is couched in a Chinese tale, allowing young children to see how certain basic moral values are shared around the world.

   Nice story
I bought this for my 2nd grade literature class and it's great. If you have a 2-year-old, you may want to consider a nanny. The upper range of children, from 7 to 8, does not seem to fit this book level. Overall, I'd say this is a good story.
