I read a very enjoyable book that I enjoy reading with my daughter. Listened to the first book on tape and that was great too. This book has also some great humor. My daughter is 10 as we read this. She typically reads books such as Wings of Fire, Percy Jackson, etc.

Another Great Book
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
Chris Colfer's imagination is always wonderful, as is always. For anyone who enjoyed his first land of stories, this is a great continuation. I could not put it down like the first book, just like the first. He brought up a lot of new characters in this book and added some old ones. These stories are not just for children, as I am a grandmother, so I would say that they are for the young of heart!

Love these books!

My 11-year-old does not like to read, but she heard about this book and how good it was from a classmate, so she started reading his book at school. I was excited that she was excited about reading, so I told her that she could have her own book. She hasn't been able to put it down, so I'm eagerly waiting for the next book, which will be released in July.

An Excellent Book for Young People & Adults
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
If you like magic, fun and excitement that is written well and clean reading, you will enjoy this book and the one before it. The young writer, he's only 19 is very talented and I expect more from him. This is a good vs evil type book for younger readers ages 10 to 16 and yes, as a mature '' adult, I enjoyed it as well. Two children entering fairtale land, meeting the characters they have only read about, solving the problem that exists within the land when the kings and queens can 't is a good story. You 'll meet most of your favorite characters from your fairytales, now grown up and leading interesting lives. I particularly like the character of Queen Red Riding Hood, she is a real laugh a minute. With her swordplay and protection of the children, Goldielocks was my next favorite. I'd say that every young reader would enjoy this book as well as it's prequel, the Land of Stories, the Wishing Spell, which should be read first to set the stage.

Inappropriate for children - very disappointing, didn't even finish it
Derived From Web , May 17, 2018
I never finished this book, which is unusual for me. My 10 year old daughter and I loved the first book of the series, so the next logical thing to do was order the 2 nd book. Wrong! The first book is the most important. I was very uncomfortable with the sexual enuendos and drinking because it was so inappropriate for a 10 year old. Is it really true? The plot could have been conveyed in a different way.

I never finished this book, which is very unusual for me. My 10 year old daughter and I loved the 1st book and we love series books so the next logical thing to order was the 2nd book. WRONG!! WRONG!! Stick with the 1st book just by sticking with the 1st. So inappropriate for a 10 year old and it made me very uncomfortable with sexual enuendos and drinking. REALLY REALLY? I think there could have been a more creative way to present the plot ''.

Great story
Derived From Web , Aug 15, 2017
Start with the first book. There is a wishing spell. The second one picks up where the first left off. I'm looking forward to reading the next book because it answers some of the questions from the first book. I teach and read it with my students. The first book talks of romance and fairies being naked, and in this book they mention lust and the word damn twice, so I will not read it with my students. I would have liked the author to leave those things out. The style and subject is great for kids but could be better without those things.

Great story
Derived From Web , Aug 15, 2017
Start with the first book in the series. The spell of the casting is wishing. This is the second and it catches right where the first left. It answers questions that the first book we left and I'm looking forward to reading the next. A side note : I read and teach this with my students. There are a few things I feel I should skip in the first book, the talks of romance and fairies being naked and in this book they mention envy and the word damn twice, so I will not read this with my students for these reasons. I wish that the author had left these things. They style and subject is great for children, but could be better without hurling those things in there.
