   Very drawn out
The first book was pretty good, the second one was ok, the third and fourth books had some great concepts and conversations but seemed to drag on for eternity, and the last book should have been the second book as it continues where the 1st left off and didn't even discuss Jane in it at all.

   still a great read
It was a huge hit, and I'll never forget the first time I read it. It hooked me in and became one of my favorite stories, but the other books didn't connect with me as well then. It all works better together as a cohesive and appealing story. The story arc from children fighting a necessary war, to one man's personal battle to redeem himself for the atrocities he unwittingly committed, is played out across millenia. It is a great deal of secondary content, given many secondary perspectives and characters you care about, Levine said. Though his writing matures subtly with each book, sometimes the later works seem to wander. Overall, I highly recommend this series of books. If you are a parent looking for a book your teenager or preteen will enjoy, the individual novel of Ender's Game is the best starting point.

   Long. Haul
Very involved, very high level of management. Too long in some respects, too short for others, he said. I enjoyed the series, but consider Enders the best by all g shot. Thanks for the tip.

   Books 4 stars; Amazon's delivery 1 star
Overall, I'd recommend this book to anyone. It took until the fifth book, "The Fifth," was completed for Rowling to get her money back. Amazon says it will deliver the book in two days, compared with the usual three to four weeks. It is, in fact, one file with the five books thrown in. The percentage is so horrible, I almost missed the whole thing.

See where the movie came from and where it could have gone.
The fifth and final book, "Ender's Story," will be released in July. The second book, "The Third Book," will be released in July.

Couldn't stop reading until I'd finished the whole series. ...
Couldn't stop reading until I'd finished the entire series. Then I took about a month off before reading anything else.

   Eh
The plot thickens as the season progresses, and the surprises are plentiful. However, it does drag at times and the further you get through the boring, absurd and unusual details the more you realize just how ridiculous the world is.

   Great reading.
It's hard to top Hugo Weaving's "Ender's Game." The other books have less action, but are great character stories, too. Many hours of truly engrossing reading.

Why Series may not be worth it
Loved the first two books, and the fifth and sixth were also great. The second book, "The Fifth Book," dragged on for two years and made me want to quit before Book 5.

Good read for a week or two vacation... not for the light reader
Loved the first book, and I'm still waiting for the second. The rest was excellent, but you have to be very persistent to finish the whole thing with a lot of time on your hands, he said. If you want a good story with some thought provoking concepts, then this is for you.
