I recommend this book to anyone who reads it. I'm just beginning to make cocktails at home and I love the way it is broken down into different liquors with cocktail recipes following.

Fake Cover?
Derived From Web , Feb 9, 2021
I bought this book as a Christmas present for my son along with a bar set because it had good reviews, but the inside of the book was full of dad jokes. I'm not sure if it was a misprint or if it was part of the joke, but it did not make me laugh.

A great present for a 21st birthday or someone new to making drinks. There were just too many book recipes that seemed to have crazy combinations of ingredients.

Great Beginner's Guide
Derived From Web , Jan 16, 2021
If you're looking for a beginner's guide to starting your bar journey, this book is for you. The book goes over all the necessary equipment, techniques and ingredients for making the praline. It also offers a nice selection of both classic and contemporary cocktails broken down by base liquor. One of the things I appreciated most about Living Oak was that it offered suggestions for ingredients to buy if you prefer a specific spirit and also recommended brands based on price. Each cocktail has a short blurb about its history and origins.

So helpful and cute!

Bought this as a present for my friend and it was great! She's a real picky drinker, so she was excited to receive this present, Melissa said. Easy to follow, gives a lot of instructions, and is classy, too. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try it out.

It's great to be able to mix things up, especially with a friend who calls me on how to do it. In a pinch, I would say the only thing I would change is a note spot in the book. Great for newbies, too.
