Beautiful, modern, hand drawn cards, with a fairly traditional explaination for each card
The book is pocket size which I was not happy about at first, but I am finding it is nice to keep it in my hand bag to read over as needed. I wasn't sure what to expect from the artwork, but it is beautifully rendered with black accent lines reminiscent of a stained glass window. While the images are not traditional they follow closely enough that it feels like a tarot deck and not an oracle deck.

   very happy with these
I have never had the more traditional tarot deck and I was going to get the Rider-Waite but decided on these first. I have The Goddess tarot, The Llewellyn Tarot, and small, black tarot cards based on the traditional tarot. When these first arrived I thought they were too bright, too light and less sturdy than my others. But I find that I am drawn to this deck more and more and now I use them daily. The book that comes with them is simple, perfect for beginners and it also comes with a sturdy box. But I also think this deck is great for any tarot user.

   Love them
My 1st deck ever. They are an awsome deck to start with. My bond is very well, my mom said. Amazed me how well bonded we were!

   Stunning deck! I love it.
This deck is so adorable, I almost fell over. The artwork is stunning, and what I like about it is the detailing and colors, Bruno said. You could really see the faces of the people on it, and their expressions, you could see the details of the animals, the landscaping, all of which really enriches the experience and makes it easy to read the card. I just wish those came in a bigger size similar to the original rider cards, as well as the card thickness. I am not too concerned with the thickness of the cards as I actually appreciate the laminate thin ones as I think they shuffle better, but I would have to love to see this beautiful imagery in a bigger size. I hope they make it in a bigger size.

   alright
i was not expecting the cards to be so flimsy. Everything is there. The book is a great introduction to the world of fine art and the informational book.

   I love these!
These are the only two sets of cards I own that are truly exceptional. Easy to read and just stunning! It's just a little on the thinflimsy side, but nothing to worry about, Bruno said. The book is hard-covered and sturdy, making it an excellent investment. However, the sleeving on the book gets slightly annoying so I slide it off when I am trying to read. 1010 have to recommend!

   Get what you pay for.
My daughter wanted a tarot card reader kit. She picked this one out. It's really cheap, made in China. The cards are the size of playing cards and the quality of all of the pieces is very cheap. The price is really cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for it.

   Great for newbies
I've been collecting and reading for about 3 months now. The Essential Tarot Kit is about #30 in my collection and compared to all my other decks the paper stock is very thin with semi gloss finish this is also the smallest deck in my collection. Fits perfectly in small hand and very easy to shuffle, I have severe carpal tunnel in both hands, so this is PERFECT for me. I LOVE the little red book not only is it cute, but its brief and to the point intuitive wisdom is key to a detailed reading. Packaging is a nifty little box which makes an excellent keepsake and it looks awesome in my work area. Overall, I love this tarot deck and the creators kept the focus on the positive message, Raymond said. The Essential Tarot reminds me of the old fashion playing cards.

   Don't judge a book by it's cover
I did not like this deck when I first received it, simply because the cards are not very thick and the artwork seemed kiddish to me, but I grew very fond of them, once I payed more attention to the artwork, I would say the cards are the size of playing cards. The box is sturdy and has a magnetic strip of some sort to help it stay closed, making this deck one of my favorite to use.
