   Meh ...
I bought it for myself, as I learned that with any language learning you have to start the same level as children do. Some of the games are really good and don't seem very cheesey in trying to learn the language at all. Some pages don 't have clear directions or translation.

   Not Just for Kids
This book is an important way to test your French skills. I studied a fair amount of money last semester, but forgot a French amount as I stopped practicing. This is not just a book for children. It is useful for anyone who wants to either refresh their learning or start their skills. And it is more fun than a dried overpriced textbook.

   Great buy!
I'm a nineteen college student who had a book from this series to learn science as a kid, and it was amazing. I decided to buy one of these to help me with my French as the activities in this book were similar to activities in my first French course. Despite being much further ahead than some of the book's content, it is a great way to refresh myself on the basic words and phrases, and I'll give a copy of this book to my former French teacher to share with her students. The key answer in the back makes this much better for purchase. Buy a great deal and have fast shipping!

   Easy for kids to understand
Although her friend speaks English also, my daughter wanted to learn French so that she can speak with her new friend. This book was very helpful and it was easy to read and understand for my daughter. It provides good lessons and exercises to help the language retain.

   Not basic level for kids
I am a French speaker and as I moved to the USA, I want to make sure that my children speak and read French too. I bought into this book and ran it. Guess I 'll have to look for it later and save for another beginner book for children. I wish it had more images and was easier to use. I think it is more suitable for beginners of adults.

Great resource, for older kids though
As a French speaker, I think this is a good book for children to learn. However, I think it is best for kids starting at age 10. It is a workbook that doesn 't have a lot to entice any kid you get more than 10. But it has practical lessons and is very helpful.

TOO COMPLICATED FOR KIDS-MAYBE MIDDLE TO HIGH SCHOOL
NOT WHAT I wanted for the LETTLE GRAND KIDS. HOW TOO ARE YOU COMPLICATED FOR AN EIGHT YEAR OLD? FROM TITLE AND GIVEN DESCRIPTION I SOMETHING SIMPLE I TARGETS FORWARD KIDS FROM STRAIGHT DESCRIPTION I EXPECTED OUTSTRAIGHT FORWARD FOR KIDS THIS IS NOT A K. ID APPROPRIATE LEARNING EXPERIENCE.

   Quite a disappointment
I have to reprint several pages via copier to facilitate reading them by the children. There is a crossword puzzle on the front of the book, so I expected to find these kinds of puzzles within-but there are none.

   It's okay.
It is okay. It is not what I expected, but looks like it would be fun for a young person to learn the language. I thought there would be more puzzles, but it is more like a book of exercises, there aren 't really any puzzles in this book.
