   A double-shot of motivation
Although this book starts off sounding like a typical self-help book, it quickly shifts into science and practical lessons drawn from Manning's experiences as a professional tennis player and coach. This book is a double hit of motivation with a high breakdown of our self-defeating tendencies and how to overcome them in order to achieve good results. I feel that the book would have been more practical if it focused more on the journals - journal templates it offers and specific techniques and challenges related to it. Since reading this book, I implement a similar journaling - template and wish that this book had more direction on adoption and execution.

Years later and I still reference this book
I bought this book after speaking to Craig a few years ago about reaching one of my goals, and since then I have read it several times. I often refer to this book when I talk to my friends and family about achieving goals and I believe that it describes very powerful information. I also created my own personal system for success with some of the content he includes in this book, such as the performance journal. I highly recommend this book to Suggest!

   Great Treatment of Success Psychology
The author is a sports psychologist and coach... that is why I picked up the book. I thought this book might help me understand how to fight it... and I think it will. It is also a good book about success psychology in general. Fits in with most other books on this subject with a more interesting read, as it contains sports stories.

   Great Ideas and Practical Applications
There are some fearless ideas about developing a stellar mindset. In some places, you have to understand tennis to get the full meaning of the real-life examples, but you get the basic idea even if you don 't know much about tennis.

   20% useful
Kinda is limited in usefulness if you don 't like or understand tennis. Meh's followers are also very important. Didn 't love it much.

   Proven Psychology of Performance
In the last 2 months, we had the opportunity to do a few ZOOM trainings with Dr. Manning. This was the first book to read. He has applied more current science and psychology and taken it to athletic and business performance. If you have any interest in how the mind works for performance and the limit we face and methods to overcome them, this book has insights. I highly recommend checking his TED talks and presentations on Youtube as well.

   Good Philosophy
Great book with great practical applications. The only issue is that Dr. Manning uses a lot of tennis analogies, which sometimes took me longer to understand the application and find the application in my life.

A must read for young athletes!
My children's coach recommended to me. Really made a difference in our conversations and looked at practice and competition.

   Great book with helpful principles
The book helps you learn to retrain your mind to avoid thought patterns that lead to anxiety and depression. When it is applied, very useful!

   Life Changing Principles
Craig Manning shows how making a few small changes in your life, focusing on being goal-oriented instead of task-oriented for instance, brings about the high performance that each of us desires to be in life. The epitome of explaining the it '' in Just do it! ''
