I may give Dawn's book 5-stars after I finish it and lose some of the weight I need to shed. Thus far, I find the foods and transformation information quite enjoyable and easy to put into practice.

Not what I thought
Derived From Web , Jun 3, 2022
I wanted to know more of the theory behind it as to why to eat this way... not recipes. I would eat way too much stuff that I wouldn't eat.

Mostly vegetarian
Derived From Web , Jun 3, 2022
This is mostly vegetarian, but does allow you to eat some meats. It is great for people who like yogurt, tofu, etc. We eat organic as much as we can and eat lean meats, poultry, pork and fish. This book is not for us, but I would recommend it to someone who likes the vegetarian way of life.

The Flexitarian Diet
Derived From Web , Jun 3, 2022
I bought this book for my 16 yr old daughter, who thought she would like to become a vegetarian. We did try a few recipes and ideas like meatless Mondays, but the idea of it all passed shortly after the book was published. We therefore did not get a full use of the book, but the ideas were great and we still practice eating less Mondays for a healthier way of eating.

very informative
Derived From Web , Jan 29, 2021
Quick read, easy to maintain, healthy diet with lots of great tips and appealing recipes. My only disappointment was that I was seeking a more plant-based alternative to Atkins. Unfortunately, it is very high in Carbs, so it is not an option for me, but I received some useful information that I can apply to my low-carb diet, including ways to prepare and cook white, plant meat, which I have been afraid to try. Enough good take-aways to recommend this book for anyone.

Easy to follow
Derived From Web , Jul 26, 2020
This book was basic, simple, and straightforward-which is why I give this book 5 stars. It was an easy read and information was easy enough to understand without feeling like you are reading a science book for school. I have always wanted to become vegetarian, but I know that it is difficult to give up meat 100% because of my meat-eating family and friends. Now I can live the flexitarian lifestyle and reap all the benefits of plant-based eating while still enjoying some meats here and there. I also love that the recipes are outlined for a serving because it is easier to double, triple or quadruple the ingredients rather than trying to reduce them. I have several Diet and Nutrition books and this is probably my new favorite. I see myself staying true to the flexitarian lifestyle long term and this book serves as an excellent guide.
