Powerful insights for real long-term happiness
I am so happy that I have received this book! The questions are deep, and really make you feel and think. It is a must have for anyone who wants a genuine kind of happiness, not just to put on a fake smile and pretend that you are happy when you are really not kind. I can already tell that the insights I receive and the actions I take from it will help me build real, long-term happiness. I have created a habit to use it every week.

Easy, prompted journal to build a happiness ritual
I love that this journal is prompted and prompted, making it easy to build a ritual around writing in it. The practice of happiness is really a practice and this is a tool to turn your attention on it. I have purchased a few copies for my friends and some colleagues as a means of showing them that a routine of gratitude is easy to build. Thanks Dr. Sophia for breaking an otherwise positive age idea into palpable pieces.

   Love it!
Using this library has been a wonderful way to end the day both by beginning and by the end. I appreciate the flexibility it offers - I find myself walking through the pages and accepting the prompts that call me at the moment, although at some point I'd like to respond to the ones I skipped! So far, I find it very helpful in fostering self-consciousness and self-compassion, which really changes my perspective.

Cultivating Happiness = Cultivating Mental Health
Sophia Godkin's book is full of good questions, questions that invite you to step back and be curious about what is going on inside that mind and that body of yours. The field of psychology has advanced in the last twenty years to more fully appreciate that mental health is really about being able to regulate our bodies, our sleep, our emotions, our beliefs and our ability to be grounded and present in relationships. This book asks you to reflect on what you need to give yourself to up your game of self-care and self-regulation.

An excellent guide in the journey toward greater peace, joy, and happiness!
So many books about cultivating happiness go beyond the surface, but the Happiness Journal, written by Sophia Godkin, PhD, is much deeper. From authenticity, to self-care, to connecting to thoughts and feelings, Dr. Godkin has created a process of reflecting and connecting to ourselves in a way that is structured, but also flexible. As a mental health professional, I am always looking for ways to support others on their journey to greater health and happiness, so besides using these reflections for myself, I will also recommend The Happiness Journal to both friends and clients. During these challenging times, we all need some help and direction to help us connect to the happiness that lies within, and in a thoughtful and reflective way, The Happiness Journal does just that.

Another happiness gem from Dr. Godkin
I liked Dr. Godkin's gratitude journal and was glad to hear about the new one. I love this new book, although it has a different format than the old. It is a series of exercises decided by topics with an overall goal to make you feel happier. The book sees like a warm, thoughtful therapist who likes you as you are, but feels great potential and room for growth. You can use the exercises in order or complete them randomly when you need support and acceptance. Alternatively, my friend, a yoga teacher, plans to use the prompts at the end of each class. I gave Dr. Godkin's gratitude journal to many friends and family members and received positive feedback uniformly. Well, now you can - for a fraction of the price.

Transform your life a day at a time
I am in the business of helping people transform their lives. If we're all really honest with ourselves, there are things we would like to change about ourselves to be happier. The challenge to change is the commitment to change the actions required. Sophia has crafted daily prompts skillfully to increase awareness and change the way we view the world. If you are looking for a way to start your life, this is a great place to change. I challenge you to view this book for 5-10 minutes a day, following the prompts that will challenge you to commit things in a way that will empower you. Sophia has done well!
