   LOVELY
Honestly, these books are adorable. We purchased EVERY SINGLE ONE. We began reading these books when my daughter was five, though now nine, she still treasures them. My son also enjoyed them, he would read them at four and he is now seven. And our newest reader is four and she loves it. I could not recommend these books enough. If you have sensitive children who don 't want something frightening in the story, these books are a gem. Or if you want a book that is great and a wholesome family read, these books won 't disappoint.

   Breaking and entering?
My favorite was not the Sophie Mouse series. It was a little awkward that the characters broke into a fictional home of someone else. I wouldn't avoid it if you're a fan of the series, we tried to talk about how this was kind of controversial, but considering that this is a fully made up story, sometimes authors write things we would not typically do in real life to gain interest, create suspense, etc. I read this book aloud to my 5 and 7yo, too hard to read for my 5yo, but my 7yo can read it no problem.

   Charming and engaging series
The newest book in this charming series '' was recently published. That makes for 18 books in this young chapter book series, which is an all-time favorite for my almost 6 year old. I have read them aloud to her, but would also be ideal for newly independent readers, since there are illustrations on each page spread, short chapters and an engaging plot. Children above the reading level can certainly enjoy them as well. In this little installment, Sophie and her friends discover a new cottage in the woods abandoned seems to be abandoned. They spend their extra time taking it up for a family in need until something unexpected happens. This fabulous series has such a complete element of nature that I think this series gives the readers an extra urge for some forest exploration!

Another wonderful Sophie Mouse book! (NEXT: Spinoff for BOYS Please!?!)
My daughter read every Sophie's book -- ok, devoured every Sophie's book! Family, friendship, adventures and food, all in the most charming woodland background. ***I wish Poppy's Jennifer would make a spinoff about Winston for boys only! My next reader is a boy and there is nothing out there as warm and rewarding as Sophie Mouse.
