Slow to start but quite rewarding!

I had to read this for my college class in great books, and LOVED it! True, it starts really slow and the scads of the Greek names got so confusing that I had to write them down in my head, but once you get to the Battle of Thermopyle, the story moves like a pure drama. Great stuff!
