While the recipes in this book are good, they use preprocessed ingredients
The recipes in the book are good, but they use preprocessed ingredients. I was looking for a recipe.

Missing Pages!!! Didn't notice until I was specifically looking something up that was on a missing page.
I received this book a month ago and have used it many times. I found out last night that there are missing pages in the book when I was looking up how to can sweet potatoes. Pages 147 to 168 are missing from it. The return policy expired yesterday and I was going to see if I could get a new one sent to me this morning. As soon as you get the cookbook, make sure all the pages are there. Very sad. It would be great to have the 20 pages that are missing. If you would send me the pages from the book, I would appreciate it. It's not necessary to send the whole book, just a copy of the missing pages.

   Great Canning Book
The cookbook is great. I bought this for my step-mom who just recently got into canning. There are many awesome recipes in this book. It's a great book for people who like to put up vegetables, jams and similar foods. It's easy to read and understand.

Upside down pages are no fun unless you have a lazy Susan
I'm really excited about getting this book early. I don't have a turntable that will allow me to read this book. At least a dozen pages are upside down. I don't know what to think. I think it's funny but I'm sure others won't. You may want to speak to your printers about this issue. I want a corrected version of the book as I want to pass it on to my heirs. Will update this review after I'm done being dizzy...

   Go to Canning book
I just got this book and it is giving me some confidence that I can do pressure canning. A step by step. There were no pictures. It is very detailed.

One more step in my process few more to go
I read the book from cover to cover when I got it. I tend to make notes when I go back to the book. I have to get everything I need for home canning.

Ok for beginners, nothing new for seasoned canners.
A good book for beginners. The title is not true. There was no discernably Amish about it. It was a typical example of USDA material. The author was wordy. I'll probably give my book to a beginner. It didn't offer anything new to the canner.

   What's Amish about this???
I don't see anything Amish about this book. It looks like the recipes were taken from the book. The author lives in Oregon. Not what I was looking for, the title was very misleading.
