   Clear and Simple
The ideal team player should be broken down by story telling. This method gives me an outstanding learning method to grasp and implement real life situations involving my team. He is able to make it clear and simple that what makes or doesn't make people good tam players is what he takes difficult and fuzzy. This is an art that few people can do and Patrick Lencioni is a master at it.

   Great read
The title of the book may make you overlook it. After my mentor suggested it, I read it. The ideas are important. An organization is a mess without team work. The book helped me remember that sometimes people just need to move on from an organization and the organization will be better off because of it.

   Patrick does it again! A must read for any team.
The virtues that are essential for teamwork are described in this book. A store created by Lencioni helps define and illustrate how each virtue plays out in the dynamics of team endeavors. It's simple yet powerful. Individual participation and leadership initiatives within any team can be transformed. The platform of mutual trust is essential in working together to achieve a shared purpose.

It is simple, clear and easy. The simplest and shortest route is the best way to do anything. You need a genius to show you the solutions that are right in front of you, but like the books before, I am amazed at how solutions are right in front of us.

   Love, love
Love, love, love this book and author! The hiring process was changed based on the book. When people come in to discuss and promote their resume and I ask them about their volunteer work or what they like to do when they're not at work it's so interesting. I start to get to know the real person behind the potential new team member when I throw them off. Since I implemented this, the last 2 hires have been amazing.

This book is good but not new. He has written a number of books. There are a few things worth remembering.

   Filling in the blanks
Not every team is capable of high performance due to their inherent make up is one of the major flaws addressed by the ideal team player in Patrick Lencioni's most well known book, The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team. The ideal make up of high performance teams is outlined by detailing Hungry, Humble, and Smart. The story was limited just as an application section. The 3 star rating is due to this. The intention is correct but I expected more.

The message is laid out in a way that makes sense to the people we interact with. The reader can see how the ideas might look to be put into practice with the help of real people in the story. Suggestions are given for the application of these techniques as well as access to online help.
