The Classic Text Annotated to Update Graham's Timeless Wisdom for Today's Market Conditions

The greatest investment advisor of the twentieth century, Benjamin Graham taught and inspired people worldwide. Graham's philosophy of value investing -- which shields investors from substantial error and teaches them to develop long-term strategies -- has made The Intelligent Investor the stock market bible ever since its original publication in 1949.

Over the years, market developments have proven the wisdom of Graham's strategies. While preserving the integrity of Graham's original text, this revised edition includes updated commentary by noted financial journalist Jason Zweig, whose perspective incorporates the realities of today's market, draws parallels between Graham's examples and today's financial headlines, and gives readers a more thorough understanding of how to apply Graham's principles.

Vital and indispensable, this HarperBusiness Essentials edition of The Intelligent Investor is the most important book you will ever read on how to reach your financial goals.

--Warren Buffett

   Must read
This book is a must for any type of investor
Great book thats worth the investment
The book is very good and I am half way done with it. I've learned a lot about bonds and stocks. The book brings in history and where Benjamin graham ends is where most recent history is found. I enjoy commentary and Benjamin portition. I recommend this book to anyone that is new to stocks and bonds. I like Benjamin style of investing.
   Read it!
Read it. It's kind of hard, but you have to read it. You can learn learn. We might not get burned this time when we have a crash. You will not get rich quick, but you will learn how to protect your principal, at all costs, for pete's sake. This is a good book, Warren Buffet wrote a lovely tribute to Ben Graham, and it's included in this book, that was very interesting and poignant to read. If you have a college student in your home, start them out with this book.
Investor who has learned the hard way.
The Modern Graham website is where I joined. The book club reads a chapter of the book each week. I would not have read the book on my own. I am not disciplined enough. The Book Club is free to join and we can participate in the comments. The book is more interesting to read. I've been investing since I was 22. I made the mistake of listening to investment advisers instead of learning how to invest for my own benefit. I bought tapes from Warren Buffet. This is the person I wanted to follow. He says Ben Graham is the best Value Investor he has ever known. That made me feel good.
   Value Investing Fundamentals
It is a book about value investing. It was an effort for me to read the book but it was worth it. It is a clarifying methodical guide that I refer to frequently. I am pleased with the results of this book.
   Low quality
I ordered this as a Christmas gift for someone and it looks like it was at a thrift shop before I received it. Not good service.
   Enjoyable Book
The book arrived in mint condition. The book arrived in the mail and I couldn't ask for a better copy.
   A Must Read for Investors
At first glance, it seems outdated, but the principles still apply to the current market. This book is more about why to buy than about what to buy.
This is a must read and some of it is a little outdated now. The book charts a course through unnecessary information. Highly recommended for those who want to learn how to invest. It is great to build an investing foundation.
   Definitely not a beginners book!
I'm sure this book is full of good information. It isn't a beginners book to invest in. If you're like me and have no idea what net tangible assets and sub working capital are, it's best to find a book that is a prequel to this one. I can't comprehend a lot of the information.
