Audiobook is hard to listen to
I listened to about 1 hour of the book, but couldn t continue. Not because of the content, but because the audiobook is presented. In fact, I will buy a hard copy of the book, as I think it will be a useful reference. Which falls where the audiobook is short. Essentially, like most audiobooks, the production team has recorded a reading of the book.
Clear and Practical Advice That Makes A Difference
As a usually extroverted person, I never think about whether my work colleagues and others I encounter are introverts. I just assume that they're like me and when they don't respond in the way I expect, I assume that they are uninterested, rude, low-energy, etc. Kahnweiler's book was for me such an eye-opener! I feel like she has given me the tools to engage with colleagues and others who are shy, not unenthusiastic or distracted - just introverted. And as an extravert, I feel that Dr. Kahnweiler's book provides actionable steps I can take to better understand introverts'listening, focusing on conversation partners, etc. So glad I found this book and highly recommend it, whether you are an introvert or an extravert!
Easy to read book for both extroverts and introverts
This is a very easy to read book for extroverts to understand the introverts in their midst and to leverage their strengths in teams. Introverts will also find it highly relatable. While the book is intended for introverts to find their silent strengths and use them to perform at work, I found most of the tips useful for everyone looking to be more confident and perform better at work.
I especially like the material about communications and presentations that encourages introverts ...
This is a wise and in-depth look at how an introvert can thrive and thrive in what often appears to be an extroverted world. Jennifer, filled with real-life tips and strategies, leads you through her practical 4P process that provides a clear road map and support for your journey.
This book is excellent for self discovery for introverts
This book is excellent for self-discovery for introverts. You will be able to see points where you get in your own direction from an outside point of view, so that you can do something to help yourself. The four P process is a good plan to keep in mind so that you do not allow yourself to give up your power and influence the easy path. This is the instruction manual that introverts like me won 't find anywhere else.
Solid Success Guide for Introverts, or Anyone!
Jennifer Kahnweiler has done a great job once again in synthesizing all the ingredients needed for introverted leaders to succeed! However, her empowering ideas and practical tips and applications are solid tools for anyone's success. I highly recommend The Introverted Leader, as it is easily digestible, encouraging and inspiring!
About time introverts were recognized for their potential in leadership
Finally, a lot of work was done. In fact, introversion can be your secret power. Kahnweiler explains away the hype, suggesting that only the loud and forceful can lead. Instead, she shows leaders who are strong and self-aware are more likely to connect with their people and build up strong teams. Practical tips and suggestions for increasing leadership growth. Book is solid.
