The authors of the international bestseller Business Model Generation explain how to create business model strategies that customers can't resist. The book has two parts. The first part is a catalog of the world's best business models, which includes historic business models. This catalog is organized in a pattern library and composed of new businesses that started from scratch and mature businesses that succeeded in reinventing their business (e.g. from product to service).
The second part of the book is about the tools required to craft invincible companies and fight off disruption systematically. It includes several new and tested concepts/tools like the Business Portfolio Map, Innovation Metrics, an Innovation Strategy Framework, and the Culture Map. The book ends with a proposed org chart of the 21st century.
The Invincible Company: How To Constantly Reinvent Your Organization With Inspiration From The World's Best Business Models is 304 pages long.

How to create great companies for the future through business model innovation
Derived From Web , Jul 5, 2020
The Invincible Company is a practical guide on how established companies can achieve a balance on how to exploit their current business models whilst exploring new business models for the future. The book is filled with real-life practical examples of how successful companies have achieved this. I particularly liked how the book describes the Invincible Company as an ambidextrous organisation that uses its current successes as the base of resources and expertise to craft its future, he said. The role of the Chief Entrepreneur and the Entrepreneurship Organisation may sound alien, but the case of Ping An shows how this can be done in practice. Congratulations to Alexander Osterwalder and his co-authors on the launch of their first book.

A practical, readable and thorough discussion of business models and more
Derived From Web , Apr 21, 2020
I very much enjoyed this book, I had a sense of what I was in store for by downloading and reading the preview, Mary Barrabo said. I am familiar with discussions about new revenue models, product innovation, marketing strategies, product feature sets, competitive strategies, and so on. The book takes a different approach to these topics by describing and developing the actual steps to test and evaluate the core business model, and determine which are best suited to a particular product and service mix. I will keep the book close to my desk and refer to it often as I work through strategic and tactical planning for new ventures. It's a great book. Practical MBA students will find out what they missed in school.
