From bestselling author of Only the Innocent comes a gripping psychological thriller about one dark night that a group of friends can't leave behind as suspicion falls. and emotions run high (Publishers Weekly).

That's the thing about old friends, they never let you forget.
The first time Jemma and Matt were invited to Polskirrin -- the palatial ocean-view home belonging to Matt's old friend Lucas Jarrett -- it was for an intimate wedding that ended in tragedy. Jemma will never forget the sight of the girl's pale, doll-like body bobbing listlessly toward the rocky shore.
Now, exactly one year later, Jemma and her husband have reluctantly returned at Lucas's request to honor an anniversary they would do anything to forget.
But what Lucas has in store for his guests is nothing like a candlelight vigil. Someone close remembers more from that night than they'll admit to, and Lucas has devised a little game for them all to make them tell the truth.
At least Jemma knows that she and Matt weren't involved in what happened to that young woman . . . or were they? Before you play a game with death, make sure you can pay the price. . .
From the three-million-copy bestselling author of Only the Innocent comes an absolutely gripping new psychological thriller. Perfect for fans of Something in the Water, The Woman in the Window and The Silent Patient.

For Those Brave Enough To Seek and Live Their Truth
A friend shared the poem The Invitation, which offered me something too pure to pass up. One might think that the book would be far etched new age writings without understanding the origins of the author's name. But Oriah's writings will make you naked in a gentle way and make you see your faults. In my life, I have worked on boundary issues. This book helped me realize that I may have to choose to be true to myself in order to disappoint others. Yet her quest for peace in her life is common to us all. Sometimes I felt right in my head and in my heart. How could someone so well understand me?

A star for every time I read the book!!!!
This book is not absorbed by itself! I have listened to the CD spoken by the author... she shares with you her own experiences! I do not see how the other critics say she talks herself up. Rather, she shares parts of her life that gives the reader a perspective. I would wager the people who couldn t get past the poem, reading her book, need a book with steps 1-10 to a better life... instead giving you fluff of this book, shares with you how to look at life from a different perspective. The author who changed my life has changed my life. And if I can ever face a difficult decision or a difficult period in life... I find consolation honestly '' by looking a little more openly at life through this book. I am honestly shocked that others could have such a great reaction against it... but isn 't that with all strong works? I hope that you also do.

An Invitation to See and Know Beyond the Surface
The invitation invites us to ask deeper, more satisfying questions about ourselves and others. As the opening line says, it does not interest me what you do for a living. I want to know for what you are ache and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's desire. It is with this level of knowledge that our friends and family and neighbors worldwide will allow us to live lives that matter. As we move into our futures, we must know more of our senses to know beyond what we think we see. The invitation helps us ask questions to unlock our souls and to help us to fuel and nurture the desires.

"I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for the adventure of being alive!!"
I was given this book a long time ago by a dear friend and I have read it more than once and bought several copies and given them to those i really care to know. I love this book by Cos, it has helped me understand more about who I am and what I want... I love her words just so, and how full of life she is... I love her hunger for life for friendship, life and knowing herself... It doesn't interest me how old you are, I wanna know if you will look like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of life! This review by Oriah Mountain Dreamer was written by such a couragous fool.

   Thought Provoking, Life Changing
Profound is an understatement. From the book, it does not interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you are ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing... I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain. This book invites you to explore your life, to stop living small and to really connect with people. It is a simple reminder that life is not about things, but about pursuing our heart's desire. In the end, it is about being able to say yes to the question Did I love well ''. I found myself reading a chapter at a time in the evening and then coming back to re-read it again. Such a worthy read and I am so blessed that someone has suggested it.

This book is an easy read, though not easy to get into
This book is an easy read, though not easy to get into... you have to be in the right frame of mind to read it. Thought, do not expect to fly through the pages. There are things to think about, ponder etc. If you are considering reading changes, worth considering reading.

   Prepare your heart for this
I thought this would be different, something other than the Soul Baring story that Oriah gives to the reader. This is not the New Age or New Thought. It is a revival of the experience of connectedness, heart and soul, we all feel but seldom realize. The book is a journey and meditation that will reconnect you with a part of yourself that you may not even know you miss... I read this book over and over again, it will go on my bookshelf next to Gibran's The Prophet ''.
