   Excellent resource for exegesis
If you love to study the Bible, but need some historical cultural context to improve your understanding of the meaning behind the words, then look no further. This five is unlike your typical commentary as it does not give you a summary of what the author believes is being said, but just gives you background in to the events of the time as well as particulars on the audience and significance of certain words or wording.

I could not understand why pseudo-graphical writings were cited so extensively. He also said that sometimes the Lord will let the Bible interpret itself.

   holding 1000 pages together with rubber band
The book was on the shelf with all the rest. I have never had a book deal, but I think Perseus would have liked it. I'll be using two halfs and rubber bands to hold the pages. The material is fine but why purchase something that won't hold together long enough to keep as a reference? If you are wondering, I did not overextend or otherwise abuse the book. Buy the book, but do not get the hard cover. Buyers remorse: This publisher is low quality, I get to experiance buyers remorse everytime I open the book to read Craig Keener's thorough work.
