A Fun, Imaginative Read for Children
This is one of my all-time favorite books. I picked this book up for my little cousins as a holiday present. Kindergardner didn't have the attention spanner to enjoy it just yet, but the 3rd grader loved it. Since I got a copy almost 30 years ago, they have made some cost-cutting measures and use cheaper envelopes and letters, but it is still tons of fun to read with an imaginative young child. The book chronicles the day of a postman delivering letters to a host of popular children's story characters including the Big Bad Wolf, 3 Bears and a Wicked Witch. It's a totally unique and fun reading experience, Hachette said. If your child is too young to go to school, we strongly recommend that you bring them home.

   one if best kid books
I've read all the Harry Potter books, but this is one of my favorites. My 3yr old daughter loves taking out all the little letters that the postman sends. We have a blast reading it every time we get to it. i can't wait to get my hands on that one! Its well written and i love how they put all the fairytales in it.

   Great Book
We're huge fans of Nancy Reagan's book, and we love Nancy. In the past I have bought The Jolly Postman as a present for the various children in my life and it is a hit every time. The letters are the best part of the story for my child and are so funny they never get old, Mrs. Dhaliwal said. I hope that this book can spark some interest in letter writing among kids. It's just that everybody likes to open the mailbox and find a letter mixed in with the bills! The only thing I did not like about the new book is the larger format. The book is larger and has lost a bit of its charm. It has some nice pages, but it's also going to get a ton of use.

   Jolly Postman and more
It was used in my Pre-K classroom. The program also allowed the children to make connections with fairy tales and to ask some critical thinking questions when prompted. They were great additions and surprise mailings, said Sara Fields, Postal Service spokeswoman. The book is very good, but I did not expect the quality of the cover. It's great to be back with my friends, said Barbara Comstock, co-author of the book.

   My favorite childhood book
I have loved reading it since the first time I was assigned it. I received a copy of the Jolly Postman when I was 5 or 6 years old and it's still in print. The book is also very engaging, making reading it very enjoyable.

   very cute and entertaining
This book was bought as a present for a 3 year old and although most of it went over her head, I enjoyed it very much. The book opens with the letters removed, but the pages remain open. I highly recommend this book to anyone. Great for children and adults.

   You won’t be disappointed!
I'm delighted the book has been so well received, Simon said. I was this book years ago and just sort of stumbled upon it, we read it before Christmas and I just fell in love with it! It was my niece who bought it for me. It is interactive and just so cute, your kid gets to open the envelopes from the postman to Goldilocks and her bears, Humpty Dumpty, etc. It's just that cute, Mr. D'Antonio said. Just give your kid one more toy and they won't be disappointed.

Fun book that makes a great gift
I purchased this book as a present for my nieces because it was my favorite book as a kid. The original copy I received when I was about 8 years old. It was a present that my mom worked as a postal carrier. The book itself is a creative, imaginative, and fun read. The story is told in rhyme, beginning with the line, "There's a boy." It's a book that can be enjoyed again and again, and that kids can have fun reading on their own, too.

   Pages Stuck Together
I was super excited to receive this in the mail today, said Blair. It was my favorite book as a kid and I had been searching for it for 4 years. After reading the book, I started to read several pages stuck together, and left whatever residue that caused it to stick on multiple pages. He said: "I was disappointed that this book was not a cheap one." Other than that, it's exactly as I remember, Mr. Dhaliwal said.

Love this book - format not as I remember
I remember so badly wanting to get my hands on the little letters my teacher pulled out of her pocket, it was a fond memory. The old version had a more whimsical look, the removable letters were different textures and sizes and they pulled out of small mailboxes on the actual page. The new version is a little more generic, now with large envelopes and removable letters. Yes, I do not discourage you from buying this product. It's still an amazing little book and kids wonder at the letters. They especially liked the birthday card with the money in it. However, if you are buying for nostalgia, you may find that the differences are not exactly the same.
