I took my time doing this book in conjunction with a teacher training course. I have found it most useful to incorporate specific actions into my cuing during sequences, and I have deeply enriched my anatomical and bio-mechanical knowledge in this way. Worth the effort and study for the benefit of your practice and your clients, he said.

Great book!

I've read the entire book, and I'm in love. Understanding what yoga is, how to do the poses, the flow, and the total benefit is just one thing. But, to take my practice far beyond that, I bought this book and the companion and now I really understand and can feel the muscles and skeletal structure that I am working or not working as I move. It has made a world of difference in my practice, said Dr. Julie Dhaliwal. I keep this book and its companion open in my coffee shop for quick reference. This provides me with the opportunity to better visualize my movements and when I find a pose is harder to move into, I check the book to see which muscle might be the problem. Thanks to the author and illustrator of this series, we get to enjoy the pictures.

Fantastic book. Highly recommend

I've been looking at this book for a while. Thanks for the great customer service. This book is the only one I'm studying for both CPT and 200 YTT. Great photos and great story. It's not just yoga, Coach says. The book takes each muscle and says it's origin, insertion, and synergy. The core strength program includes work on the back, hamstring, and rotator cuffs. Packed full of that you could refer back to time and again and still gain knowledge.

Too Advanced and Blurry Images
Derived From Web , Apr 28, 2020
I'm not a yoga teacher, but this book is great for students. The kindle edition has all the pictures, but the labels are blurry. Second, the information is not organized in a way that truly helps a student absorb the material. It might make sense to a doctor or someone with a medical background, Grassley said. The tape recorder is so heavy it is almost over the beginner's head. The author seems to know what he is talking about but after trying a go at this book several times it just isn't sticking for me in a way that would make me a better yoga teacher.

It is not the book that I don't like
Derived From Web , Mar 27, 2019
The reason is that the pages are not numbered. I bought the book on Kindle and it is a book text for me in Yoga Teacher Training and I cannot follow the class because teachers say turn to 11459. It is a basic anatomy book, there are a ton of them, but I would never suggest it as a text book for studying yoga. It is the day and age to save the planet and trees, and this just ain't working out for me. The other day I ended up sharing a book with someone who has the book. Not all publishers who sell Kindle books will be happy with the results.

Too expensive

The French language was too technical. Not suited to the demanding lifestyles of Bikram yoga enthusiasts, Sundwall sought out asanastors curious about how they work on muscle groups or internal organs.
