   Honest Review: Good Story, But….
I am a big fan of Francine Rivers. Her books give me a break from reading a lot of theology. I have enjoyed all of her Christian novels, though I have my favorites. An excellent story and superbly told, "The Lady's Mine" is typical of River's style. It is too typical of Rivers style and the story is very predictable. The discovery of the culprit was a surprise, but it didn't make much of a difference as the character was not very developed and there was no attachment to the character at all. The story in and of itself is very good and worth reading, even if you don't know how the book will end in the beginning chapters. My recommendation is to buy it. Read it. Happy reading!

Another great book by Francine Rivers
This book is a great read. This is not as heavy as some of her other books. A lot of humor and a well developed story is what their is. The first time I read it, I thought, wow, this isn't like The Atonement Child or Redeeming Love. I was surprised to be honest. I'm used to reading deeply moving and spiritual books from Francine. This one isn't that much. I enjoyed it more after reading it a second time. I cried because I was laughing. It was nice to read a book that was light hearted. This is definitely worth reading. If you don't like it the first time you read it, read it again. You won't be disappointed.

   Not as faith based…
I am a huge fan of the author and own all of her books, but I wouldn't recommend this one based on her words of "getting back to her original roots..." The author's gift of weaving faith through her story telling is missing from the book. I would return it if I could, it's not what I was looking for, romance novels are plentiful and some better written.

   Very disappointed
The book is not as good as previous books. Too much discussion is hard to follow and it has to focus on sex. The title is not accurate. Very disappointed.

Solid Setting but a Different Direction for Rivers
The Lady's Mine is a book to read for pure entertainment. There is a cleanser between the weightier books. It is not a book by the author. Readers are immersed in the setting and time by Rivers. Calvada has many of its residents clearly. In a time when women didn't have many rights,Kathryn is intelligent and headstrong. There is a small mystery and some friends, but this book is all about the butting heads leading to romance. The characters live upright lives and attend church, but there isn't a deep spiritual theme in the book. It is an excellent choice if you want something more light-hearted to read. I didn't have to write a positive review after I reviewed a complimentary copy of the book. All opinions are mine.

   The most consistent author!
Again, Rivers does not miss a beat. The story is wonderful and engaging. The Lady's Mine is one of the most unique and inspiring stories that Francine Rivers has ever written, and I have been a fan of her for over 20 years.

   Not really a new book
This is the book I have read before. The book was called "A Fire in the Heart" and it was written by Francine Rivers. The Lady's Mine has been cleaned up from the other version. There are some changes but it is the same story. I like the author a lot. I loved her stories when she wrote straight up romance. A great writer is Francine Rivers.

She is the best Christian fiction writer there is
I just started reading this book and I can't wait to get back into it. You feel like you know the characters in her stories, and they are so wonderful.

   Lovely, Entertaining and Encouraging
The novel has a lot of things a reader could ask for, such as adventure, humor, and a love story. A wholesome entertaining read that will move you and have you cheering on the hero as she uses her God given gifts and character traits to build up that which is around her.

Since the first book of hers that I read, I have been a huge fan of hers and this one is right up there with the best. I encourage everyone to read it.
