The Lady Tempts an Heir is 336 pages long.
Really enjoying the series

The Lady Tempts an Heir is a good addition to the series of the Gilded Age Heiresses by St. George. Engagement stories by Fake are a personal catnip, especially when they appear plausible, such as with Helena and Max. The longing is palpable, the overbearing fathers are manipulative-strangling, and the attraction is fierce. There are obstacles that play interestingly. Helena's mystery is not magically solved, as often the case is in other novels, and I really appreciated it.

Too slow

The plot seemed to drag and it was difficult to maintain interest throughout the book. The happy ever after was obvious and the main characters were one dimensional.

Love This Series!
Derived From Web , Feb 26, 2022
This is a historical fiction romance series I started when I stumbled on this site a year ago and am so glad! I love historical fiction, but especially when it packs the steam and witty banter and longings and desires of human nature that I feel like didn 't happen the same way back then at present. Because, oh yes, it did! I felt this book was the perfect wrap-up of the three Crenshaw siblings - stories and can not wait for Book 4 about the Crenshaw sisters'friend in The Duchess Takes a Husband and am very excited to hear the release date! If you love historical fiction and passion - filled lovers, then you need to read this series! The books are the perfect size for carrying and sharing anywhere, although I'm stingy and will only tell people to get their own copy.
