Book Overview

A Netflix Original Series

The New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling Last Kids on Earth series--now with over 7 million copies in print--presents June Del Toro in her very own adventure

Told from June's point of view--and set between the shattering events of The Midnight Blade and The Skeleton Road--June's Wild Flight brings new characters, high-stakes action, and stunning revelations in an adventure that could only be June's. An essential Last Kids story that readers won't want to miss

The Midnight Blade ended with a shocking twist: a long-missing villain has returned and now has an army of the dead at his command Jack, June, Quint, and Dirk have battled the worst kind of monsters, zombies, and cosmic servants, but an endless horde of animated skeletons is next-level.

While the kids plan their next move, an unexpected threat emerges and June gets separated from her friends, dragged miles away from Wakefield to a town overgrown with monstrous vines and never-before-seen creatures. Drawing on her post-apocalyptic survival and action skills--and with the help of some odd new companions--June attempts to make her way back home. But not before she uncovers critical information about the mysterious Tower. Information that the future of our world may hinge upon . . .

Told in a mixture of text and black-and-white illustration, this is the perfect series for any kid who's ever dreamed of starring in their own comic book or video game.

   Another great book!
My son LOVES The Last Kids on the Earth Series! He got a set for his 9th birthday and an ant for Christmas. He wanted to preorder this book and to have it shipped for his 10th birthday book #7. Great book series for children!

   Jack isn’t the Narrator.
My 4th grade son It's got good stories, but it is not the same ''. How the story is told is different because the main character, Jack, is the narrator on the other books. In this one, each character tells a story they made up to tell another. He would still read it r read it again. Said, there is good action. My son gave the book 45 stars. For reference, I asked him what a 5-star book was and he said, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets '', I would prefer my son read traditional novels rather than graphic novels. I, however, read the first last kids on Earth with my son and I was impressed with how creative the books are.

   Son was disappointed
My son described the stories as weird and did not enjoy having a variety of artists. He found only one of the sections interesting and was done in about 10 minutes.

   Disappointed parent, happy kiddo
I would love to give this book 5 stars, but I was disappointed to realize that for Book 7 of the series, they went away from the standard writing format and made this book more in a comic book format. My eight-year-old son LOVES this series and even pre-ordered book 7 with his allowance. I always preferred these books over many others because it was written in a standard writing format with paragraphs, complete sentences and correct grammar, but they decided to jump ship and the entire book is written in the comic format. My kid is happy with it so that is why I still give it 4 stars.

Great to see the kids in color!
Fun adventures full of usual humor, action and just enough feeling. It is great to see the children in color and to be rendered by some different artists as well. For fans of The Last Kids on Earth not to be missed!
