   3.5 stars
The first part of the book is slow and boring, but the second and third parts are very exciting. This is not a good read for anyone that has been a victim of abuse. I caught on to what was happening in the first third of the book, but was blown away by how crazy it was. Listen to other reviews.

   Great read
The second part of the book is really interesting. The way it was sectioned made me very happy. The last 200 pages were read in one sitting. The main character made it less enjoyable to read. The way it ended was wonderful.

   Exciting twists!
An exciting book. The harder it is to put the book down the more I read. People are not what they seem. As the story progresses, you can see the bigger picture of Jackson and Amber. Both of them got what they deserved. After leaving everything behind, she will start her new life with her kids. It has been a long journey. It's hard to say who is more cruel, Jackson or Amber, but the one who had planned her evil doings right from the start is the one who is more cruel.

   Exceptional voice, sense of place
The world the authors created for us was something I enjoyed spending time in. The characters, the plot, and the inevitable twists were delicious and masterfully executed, but really, they were just icing on the wedding cake of vivid imagery. That house is awesome! You should get this book if you're considering reading it. This is a must-read for me because I read thrillers non-stop.

How Did This Book Get So Many High Ratings?!
The ratings for this book were so high that I feel cheated. It's hard to believe that it took two writers to come up with that. The book I was reading was written by a high school girl. Everything is absolutely predictable. Have you heard of the saying ''They gave me milk when I needed meat?'' That's how I felt about the writing in this story. There weren't any details left to flesh out. I will donate this one, I was very disappointed.

   Amazing plot twists
I was floored by the book. I could not put it down. It was a little slow at first, but the authors were setting us up for what to come. I wish we could understand why Jackson was so controlling. I feel like there was a winner at the end of the story, but I will not give anything away. Some people will do whatever it takes to get what they want. Keeping your enemies closer is what it gives new meaning to. The mind games, the abuse, the treachery, is the best thriller I have read in ages.

   Gone Girl 2?
The stepmother of Gone Girl hated the wife novel. It was totally predictable from the first page. It was very boring. Instead of demonizing women as stepmoms and copying another's plot, why not think about an original plot line?

   Enjoyable
Didn't know what to expect. The book was good. The storyline is very twisted. The characters were brought along so you could see what shaped them. I wish more money was spent on Jackson's upbringing. The sad part about this is that it happens in real life. It's every day! It's important to be careful out there. Your dreams may turn into nightmares.

   Seriously?
I can't believe the ratings. It was too late for me to finish it, so I dragged on and on about the easy life of the rich. The beginning of the second part gave me hope, but it was short lived. I didn't like the book for its Monotonous writing, limited vocabulary, and predictable plot. Take all your favourite movies about abusive relationships like Sleeping w the enemy, Enough, Gone girl, and of course all the pretty liars, give it a good shake, and voil, you have a story. The book lacks creativity and the characters have no depth. Don't bother with this one, there are many better books out there.

   Predictable and boring
This isn't the worst book I have ever read, but it is close. The prose sounds like it came from a voice-recognition device. The plot is not interesting. It ends with a letter to the dead person. It's really sad. The bad characters are all bad. Everybody gets what they get from the good character. Do not waste your money.
