Great Title - Not So Much The Contents

While this book does contain some useful information, it is not for me. I have had good success outside of the guidelines it contains and would have been discouraged from even trying to invest, Mr. Rule told the judge.

Great book.

It's great to be back home, said Blair. However, the plan is modest compared with other high-speed schemes. It is a lifetime investment strategy that will always work, he said.

great place to start

Professional investor, Raymond E., said: "I am a seasoned investor and found this well-explained. It's exhausting to do a lot of the legwork after a long week and work, and the magic formula is a powerful tool to identify consistent opportunities, he said. This is not for the faint of heart because as Joel says, beating the market is not the same as making money.

Great for Everyone, Only if you really can follow it
Derived From Web , Jul 25, 2021
I recommend this book to anyone. For a mere $30, you get one of those "I'm a deal" T-shirts. Even with time, how many can stick to these principles? You can find more information about Dr. Goin's book "The Subtleties" by visiting www. psychologiemag. com. Take a look at each company's financial figures. BT has 30 companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. It also suggests that if you build a DCF valuation model, you can compare it with the high flyers. It is an easy book to apply, even for those with little or no English. Yes, I am not a quant, but I would love to be one. It's worth the time to learn how to value and run a quick calc on the 30 companies, he said.

I'll pass....
Derived From Web , Feb 20, 2021
Though the first four chapters are well written, I kept reading trying to figure out what the magic formula was. I felt like the author was saying the same thing, Rekha said. Buy good companies that have high earnings. By chapter 9, I felt like I had nothing more to learn and stopped reading. There is no magic formula, and if there was, it is not fool proof. I found the book on Amazon. com, and the author referred me to their website. It's the perfect upsell What you find in this book, you could get your own YouTube channel for free.

Excellent read, even today
Derived From Web , Mar 18, 2020
This is one of the most highly rated introductions to value investing for average folk.. and reading it through, you can clearly see why. The rational, logical explanation to the investment approach recommended by the author is easy to understand and clear guidance to implementing the steps in effective valuation is provided as well.

Sole purpose of book is to sell the Magic Formula
Derived From Web , Nov 19, 2019
I have mixed emotions about the book, Ms. O'Neill said. The book promises you this magic formula, which it does explain in detail, but that's all the book was about and it strongly discourages you from investing on your own. I was hoping for some more broad info about the stock market and some of the other stuff. At the end of the book, there's a link to his free website, where you can use the computer system that generates the "magic formula." He has a mutual fund where he uses the mutual fund's own formula, which he charges a 1 percent management fee. I feel like the whole book and the website are just there to make you buy into this fund so he can make money, Sosa said. You could do without his fund and use the formula yourself, but I'm not sure how confident I am in my stock market skills yet.

It is a good book but unnecessary
Derived From Web , Oct 26, 2019
Beginning stock market investors will learn about the stock market and how it works. You are going to learn about the stock market and ratios. Since then, I realized that everything you need and want to learn is readily available for free. For example, one of the constants in the book is Gilead. In the three years since I bought this book, Gilead has made only a handful of investors money outside of the dividends provided.

Greenblatt makes value investing as simple as possible,

Even with time, it is still hard to do. The mechanics are straight forward, but it's not a smooth ride to achieve results that are quite satisfactory, Mr. Dhaliwal said.

Easy humerous read.

Selling books by Stephen Covey to investors is a good idea, even if you're not a book club member. It was used as a present for grand kids and then discussed with them.
