   Wonderful children's book
A great children's book, beautiful illustrations, fast shipping and pages, and very cute story line. My two year old learned quickly what sound each piece of clothing makes in the story and she loves to say aloud what noise the pants, shirt, gloves etc make. She thinks its fun that she gets to read the story too, or tell the story.

Cute premise, but story not so great
The premise of the Old Lady and the Scarecrow is fun and interesting, but the story is not snappy at all. It dropped the ball, even with repeated repetitions, trying to deflect the lack of a good story. It sounds great and it just doesn 't tie himself up into a great story you want to read over and over - too many threads left hanging. My 14yo autistic son and I had a short conversation about the book and that is where the opinions above came from. I hate to criticize writers! But I also don 't like being disappointed in a book I buy for my grandbaby.

   Keeps children engaged
When read in a certain way, it keeps children engaged with the wiggle, wiggle... shake, and shake parts. This book is our go-to book before bedtime.

   Excellent quality!!!
I would give this a million stars if I could! Since childhood, I have had the original copy of the story. He asks almost every night to read it. Since I have had the book for nearly 20 years, it has been well used and well loved. It literally fell apart. I found the story on Amazon and ordered a copy. I am SO thrilled with the quality. The pages have an added gloss to them, the colors are so much more vibrant and the spooky words have some added color added to them, it makes it so much more fun! So many remakes from my childhood have been cheap, and the companies have clearly cut corners to save money. Very pleased with the quality and price ''. , ''

   Great educational book.
There are so many good things in this book for teachers, families or even speech therapists. The repetitive language is awesome, the story isn 't too scary or spooky. There are so many great lessons you can do with this book, like sequencing, patterning, art and math.

Gets the kids involved all involved clapping, shaking, wiggling, clapping, nodding and boo! I bought my paperback copy so that I could not get a hardcover copy!

   Great book for kids
This was a great book that invited the particulation of children. The week before Halloween, I volunteered to be a mystery reader in my second-grade class of my granddaughters. When I volunteer, it sounded great, but then I started to get really nervous. By trade, I teach college students - what did I know about second graders? So I called my sister, who taught second graders for nearly 40 years. This was the book she recommended and was perfect. All the kids participated and we had great laughs and a great time. This book has been recommended especially around Halloween.
