I grew up with all sisters, so that as we have gotten older, this story has held such a special place in our hearts. This cookbook is SO cute and it is the perfect mix of recipes to try and a few fun ones to make. There are also stories and fun facts about the cookbook. This was such a fun buy for all my sisters!

a sweet idea to add to any Louisa May Alcott collection
Derived From Web , Aug 23, 2021
I have been collecting copies of Little Women since my mother gave me my first copy for Easter when I was 9 years old. I also collect the movies and enjoy the DVDs of these movies. For me, this was a natural purchase. I love it and so glad that it has been released.

Beautiful but not a true cookbook

Beautiful cover, I was disappointed in the recipes, as they did not seem like they would be easy to replicate.

For the Little Women Fan.
Derived From Web , Dec 2, 2019
If you are a fan of the novel, this is a great book to continue your love of the March family. The recipes are fun and have references to the novel. Although we tried only a few recipes, we really liked the apple orchard chicken and garden pot pie for the main dishes. For dessert, the Parisian cream puffs and apple pies are delicious. This book will be a great Christmas gift, especially with the moving out of interest in Little Women now being really strong.

Fun concept!

I love the idea of researching all foods mentioned and made in a literary classic and updating it into an awesome cookbook. Tomorrow I will make Buckwheat pancakes for breakfast and maybe re-reading Little Women.

Family-Friendly with a Cup of Nostalgia
Derived From Web , Nov 8, 2019
The young cover immediately caught my eye, with food and flowers entwining cameos of the charming March women. When the book arrived, I curled up in a comfy chair to read the book, then browse it cover to cover. Inside are the text, illustrations, photos and especially chapter headers and recipe blurbs delightful. I feel as if I am revisiting the novel in a new and fresh way. Recipes are for earth dishes that I would serve the family and guests of all ages. It is so refreshing to have a colorful cookbook that is just plain fun.

un, inspiring and informative cookbook!
Derived From Web , Nov 1, 2019
This beautiful gem of a cookbook is filled with small surprises. Not only do small women fans get a new, food-centric view of life in the March household, but history buffs and cooks alike will get a taste of what cooked back in the latter half of the 19th century New England. The recipes converge in spirit to the original, but the author has updated many of them for today's cooks.
