The internationally renowned, clinically tested, revolutionary diet program to lose weight, fight disease, and live a longer, healthier life.

Can what you eat determine how long, and how well, you live? The clinically proven answer is yes, and The Longevity Diet is easier to follow than you'd think. The culmination of 25 years of research on aging, nutrition, and disease across the globe, this unique program lays out a simple solution to living to a healthy old age through nutrition. The key is combining the healthy everyday eating plan the book outlines, with the scientifically engineered fasting-mimicking diet, or FMD; the FMD, done just 3-4 times a year, does away with the misery and starvation most of us experience while fasting, allowing you to reap all the beneficial health effects of a restrictive diet, while avoiding negative stressors, like low energy and sleeplessness. Valter Longo, director of the Longevity Institute at USC and the Program on Longevity and Cancer at IFOM in Milan, designed the FMD after making a series of remarkable discoveries in mice, then in humans, indicating that specific diets can activate stem cells and promote regeneration and rejuvenation in multiple organs to significantly reduce risk for diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer's, and heart disease.    Great book!
Very informative and easy to read. If I made it to 100, I will let you know in 40 years whether or not I have any regrets.
   Very informative
The book shows us a lot of important information in a very easy to understand way, said Dr. Eric Schaeffer, director of Stanford's Watson Institute. It's inspirational to me because it shows that even though I'm not the biggest fan, it inspires me a lot.
Excellent for anyone concerned about their health
It was an easy read, I like to study about anti-aging and anything that can help with alternative healing, and this was excellent. I have done the master cleanse several times in my life but was not certain of its scientific basis. This will be much easier to do and it's nice to know what can be accomplished without harming the mind and spirit, he said. Before that I had no idea of all the healing and stem cell research.
Don't waste your money, nothing but an advertisement for ProLon diet
I bought this book because I thought it would be great to do the Fasting-Mimicking Diet'. The product is a 300 page advertisement for ProLon FMD that cost $249. For safety and efficacy, it is strongly recommended that patients do the ProLon FMD and not a "home-made" version, Zimmer said. If you want to try the "Fasting-Mimicking Diet," you can do it at the ProLon website.
A ground-breaking figure in longevity and nutrition research. Catch more of his music videos on YouTube. The book and the videos are great together, he said.
What a genius! He has also done a great job of teaching people how to eat healthily. Choosing veg source proteins, and decreasing protein total, can help cut down on fat. Eating more vegetables, more olive oil and less bread, he said. FEEL GREAT! It was a great deal, said ProLon. com founder and CEO Paul DeVries. The product is also attractively packaged, with attractive labels. They said it was the best pizza they had ever had. Very doable, said Dr. Richard Evans, director of NASA's Ames Research Center in California. What I've learned is how little you can eat and how hungry you are. Thanks to Grace, I feel much more aware of what I'm eating. For those who can't fast for 5 days, drinking water is going to be a challenge. Thanks to Dr. Longo and his team for doing such a great job. I share the ProLon regimine idea with patients who are anticipating a cancer diagnosis and refer them to his website. Most people have never heard of fasting for health and wellness, the book says. The boys are back home safe and sound, Coach Mike Davis said. Thanks again for the many years of service. USA Gymnastics officials could not be reached for comment Tuesday.
Simple and easy read - great book
This book is a great summary of V. Longo's 30 years of hard research and its practical application. Although, not much scientific depth in this book nor the discovery details I was hoping to read about, I enjoyed it. Still a very exciting read, I learned a few new things and I reconfirmed existing human studies on fasting and plant-based whole foods. Eat vegan - low protein high carb - avoid all animal protein -avoid saturated and trans fat - eat what you ancestors ate, Graham said. Restrict your feeding to 12 hours or less a day. In a generous gesture of uncharacteristic compassion, Microsoft said it would give $100 million to buy Vazzi's assets. The remaining three months are free, but monthly fees apply. 2.5 hours a week walking. Take a mineral and vitamin combination tablet three times a day for optimal health.
focused on aging, not on get-skinny-fast promises
This is a book that makes sense. It helps you change your eating habits in a sustainable way, without the high prices of fast food. The context is the one of aging, as opposed to a concept of get fit fast, or lose 10 pounds in a week, which is, in my opinion, a much better way of approaching our own nutrition.
