"the mind reflects what you feed it"

The book emphasizes how your thinkingbeliefs can affect your life. It gives you insight into why people do what they do and gives you tools and tips to think in a different way. I agree with the author that knowing how to think is better than having a garage full of useless facts, the thinking that guides intelligence is more important then the intelligence that you have.

Must have for any serious "personal development junkie"

We all have execusis, which is the non-medical term for the 99 excuses you carry around to explain why you are not successful. The book deals with all of them. It doesn't make you successful, as it's hard to change these limiting mindsets, so it needs to be re-read often, or at least when these limiting beliefs start sneaking back into your mind. One of the best ways to get rid of mind-weeds is to read this book.

Like a great song

Like a great song, ideas, thoughts and books are timeless. Picked this book to read because it was on many reading lists. Don't let the early publish date fool you, The Magic Of Thinking Big is a great little 238 page stimulant for morning inspiration to go well with the coffee notepad and idea book close at hand. Grab it and read it over and over again.

nothing new
Derived From Web , Sep 30, 2020
I was disappointed. Tim Ferris said in his book the Four Hour Work Week that this is the No 1 book that has had a positive impact on his life. I trusted Tim's taste and judgement because I thought he was a creative thinker who always thinks outside the box. Some reviewers said there was nothing new in this book. I was too busy to read the book right away. I finally had the time to start reading and was very disappointed. I exceeded the 7-day return time limit after logging onto Amazon. I can't do anything except eat the loss. I can warn other buyers with a honest review. Don't make a mistake. I decided to give more weight to Tim Ferris' recommendation after seeing the negative reviews. It was a big mistake.

A classic for a reason
Derived From Web , Sep 24, 2019
It is easy to see why this book has been recommended by thought leaders for decades. The principles outlined in this book were written in an era that was different from today. If the litmus test for wisdom is applicability across the ages, then "The Magic of Thinking Big" has passed its labs. I will always recommend this book to anyone looking for a way to improve their life.

A must read!
Derived From Web , Dec 4, 2018
The book is great. I've been on a motivational kick to finish writing my children's novel, Hidden Gems, and then turn it into a feature animated film. I needed a book to help me through my goal. This book was delivered. The Power of Habit and How To Win Friends and Influence People are similar books that I've read. The book is up there with those books. It's great to read. I've read other books like Think and Grow Rick and I think this one is more entertaining. The Power of Positive Thinking was too religious for my tastes. I'm currently reading The Magic of Believing, which is okay, but maybe a bit too metaphysical, even though the themes are the same. I think this is one of the best books about staying positive and believing in yourself. A must read.

Life changer if you put the ideas into practice!
Derived From Web , Oct 18, 2018
I bought copies of this book for friends before I finished it because it was such a life-changing read. The book teaches you how to be practical, positive, optimistic and focused in your mindset so that you can move your life forward into whatever goal you want to achieve. What goes on in our heads is the most limiting factor in our lives. If you were born after the early 90s, you might need to consult a website like Wikipedia or someone in the 70s or 80s to understand some of the references made since this book was originally published. The truth is timeless and all the principles still apply to life with more modern technology than the era the author was writing in. It's a great read for anyone who wants to push themselves to the next level.
