This was a present for our grand kids. Their mom, Bernadette Peters, says the Magic School Bus is a popular TV series on the Disney Channel. According to the book's Web site, "The book has apparently been a big hit because of the familiar characters and storyline, and also because of their interest in the solar system." There are several more movies in the series.

Basic story is good - extra information makes it hard to read to little ones
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
A fun story that follows the first episode of the second season of M'sb a little closely, but the extra factual informationdialogue in the margins makes it hard to read to ages 4-6. It might be more enjoyable for ages 9-10, who can benefit from that kind of information and can read at their leisure, he said.

Our 3 year old doesn't sit for the whole book but we enjoy a few pages at a time
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
We're big fans of the Magic School Bus movies. The volume of information in these books is staggering. It's not a book you'll sit and get all the way through, it's just a matter of time. I would take that back, maybe with an older child. Our 3 year old doesn't sit for the whole book, but we enjoy a few pages at a time. But each has to read and discuss the entire book. Pictures are fun too, he said.

We love Magic School Bus!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
I've had children who were absolutely obsessed with the Magic School Bus books. The content is perfect for them to learn how things work, Ms. Caramore said. The kids love the field trips and they love to see how the class gets out of their binds, Mrs. Williams said. The book takes us into the solar system and into orbit around Neptune. Ms. Frizzle's music has made her a household name. Thanks for the A++!

Who needs school?
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
He has a very good reputation." He is 7 years old and has learned the planets from this book and the video. We went to a function in a public library and he walked up to the model of the solar system, named each planet, discussed which were gas giants and wondered about Pluto. My only problem with the series is that the extra notes all over the place make the books hard to read, and it is not always obvious whether the text or the dialogue comes first.

Educational Classic!
Derived From Web , Mar 9, 2022
I first read this to my fourth-grade students when we did a short introduction to astronomy unit. They had a short research paper on the planets to do and they all used this book as a resource due to the great amount of information packed in it. I love all the Magic School Bus books, but this one stands out.

Perfect Classic

She got it for a school lesson and she was very happy that she got it instead of using the old one because the pages and the pictures were so crisp. In fact, we had an old copy of the book, but it was getting very tattered. However, I would not recommend it for a whole lot older. 0 1462228 This is a preschool, so I would not recommend it for a whole lot older.

Spoil them with books

Parents never seem to mind when you spoil their kids with books instead of plastic toys. 0 2622010 2622070 This is just the way parents shop for their kids. My cousins threw him a really neat birthday party. Now he wants to take a bus to the edge of space.

Updated facts, students loved it!
Derived From Web , Jun 12, 2020
During a book tour, I read this book to my preschoolers and they LOVED it. They even questioned on what gravity is and I was extremely happy to simply explain it to them, and we even turned it into a movement activity afterward, Mr. Dhaliwal said.
