   Surprise from Ms. Burnett
I found this book recently. It was enjoyable. The Little Princess Secret Garden was something I knew. This was a nice surprise.

   Lovely Romance
Lady Emily is a sweet character. Lovers of Victorian British Literature will like this book.

Enjoyed the book content but very poor quality printing
I didn't give a star to the book because I enjoyed it. The print quality is not good and would not have given me any stars. It almost looked like a home made xerox copy. Pages108 and109 were missing in Chapter 6. Pages 328 and 329 are repeated five times in Chapter 18. No quality control, absolutely. I enjoyed reading the complete version of the e- readers version after I downloaded it.

Funny and accurate: the Victorians as they were
The best books to read to get a real feel for the Victorians are also dryly funny.

   Hard to read font.
The large print is hard to read. I don't think it's a reproduction of the original first edition, but it is a distraction.

   pure fun
A beautiful read by a great author. The PBS version is a follow up to the original.

Great story but type is way too small--need a magnifying glass. Get it from another publisher if possible.
The TV version of the story, Making of a Lady, made me love it even more. The type is hard to read. I' ve never received a good with type this small, I'm an avid reader. Most people would need a magnifying glass to read it, it's the size of footnotes. You can buy the book from another publisher. I am trying to get through this with strained eyes.
