It was my first time in the kitchen. His wife, Sandra, also said she enjoyed the book. This is great classroom teaching, said Dr. Steve Weinshall of the University of Michigan. Yes, we are enjoying the meals. Easy to incorporate into weekly meals, they're great for diabetics. Tried it and it wasn't that great.

One of the original cookbooks, The French Laundry was a huge hit with both children and their parents. I've found the book about principles of an authentic Mediterranean diet to be very useful.

   So many easy, yummy recipes
I purchased this book right before Christmas and forgot about it until a few weeks ago. I have been using it regularly and I have really enjoyed everything I have cooked with it. The food is flavorful and healthy, and has easy to follow instructions. I'm a big fan of Fasolakia's music. Easy to make and so delicious. They include beans, onions, potatoes, tomatoes and of course olive oil. Main dish for me and hubby. It's just one of the many fast and easy recipes that are so fast and easy to make. It's a definite keeper, Hughes said. The book is a great read, and I highly recommend it to anyone.

   Definitely worth it!
I've been cooking with her recipes for about half a year now, so I knew the recipes would probably be good, but I wasn't expecting the book to be so beautifully designed and great quality! I can't wait to try some of the delicious looking recipes too. She also included calorie counts for each recipe so that you can keep track of how many calories you are eating. While I am not usually a calorie counting person, I am trying to reset my eating and am keeping track for a short while to connect with how much I actually eat. The recipes seem to be simple and fast to prepare - I even do them on weeknights - and with everyday ingredients that we already have in the pantry. We eat so many more veggies now, and a lot less meat, Sosa said. It's great to read, said Blair.

   Disappointed
I felt this book puts a lot more emphasis on wheat. There is wheat in almost every meal of the plan. Not surprisingly, many of the recipes use parmesan cheese. I wish I had looked at the recipes before buying, Melissa said. However, I'm not a huge fan of the Mediterranean diet. This book is not for someone who is sensitive to any foods. Like eggs, tomatoes, milk and wheat, Rice is a pioneer. They have a 2-week menu plan, which is very unrealistic.

   This book simplified the Mediterranean Diet
My blood sugar level was coming into the pre-diabetes stage, and my doctor had recommended that I go on the Mediterranean Diet to help regulate my sugar level. What I knew about the diet, Sosa said, was that it was the perfect way to start the diet correctly. In some recipes, the author uses vegetables that are not readily available to buy, and I use what is available. They have used it on pumpkins, squash tips, and other local squash. I absolutely love the book, and I highly recommend it to anyone.

   Wonderful, satisfying recipes!
I can't get enough of this book, Melissa. I really enjoy the Greek Green Beans, the Greek Style Pea Casserole and the Caponata. I am going to try the Tomato Rice and the Olive Oil make them so satisfying. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and helping us all eat better. Yes, I look forward to working on the rest of the book.

Whole Lotta good information about the Mediterranean Diet. What a great looking book, said one of the authors. I've long been a fan of the author's and have made many of her easy-to-make recipes from her website Olive Tomato. I can't wait to start making them!
