   I've made six or eight dishes and they've all come out great. The recipes are easy
I bought this book without any regard for the reviews. As soon as it arrived, I drove through and pulled out several recipes to try the first thing. I made six or eight bowls and they all come out great. The recipes are simple by using common ingredients. This is what I would consider a cookbook for beginners. I say I only used my slow cooker for one of the dishes. Since you have to do a fair amount of cooking in a saucepan or frying pan, I ended up using my Dutch oven to make the dishes. They all came out on a low stovetop heat in less than two hours.

Very disappointed, usually check books from the library to be sure that I want to purchase..., recipes are very limited and boring, learned lessons

   New, Flavorful Cuisine for your Slow Cooker
If you love your Mediterranean cooker, these slow-style recipes will give you more to add to your repertoire. This would have been helpful to the cuisine if it was new. The book details the general flavor profile of Mediterranean food from the regions of Spain, Italy, Morocco and Greece, and once you get this down, creativity is endless with recipes. There are also pretty basic tips on cooking with a slow cooker that many people already know and discussion of the benefits of cooking this way, but there were definitely great nuggets of information throughout the day.

   Excellent for a Healthy Diet
As a diabetic, I have to be concerned with what I eat. I, however, don 't really like to cook per se. The meals are healthy, yet I don 't have to be bored in the kitchen by using a slow cooker to prepare meals. This book includes an excellent set of recipes and fantastic tips on how to use a slow cooker. I recommend it to anyone who likes to eat healthy, but not necessarily enjoys cooking.

   Offers 100 great reasons to dust off you slow cooker, but they do take some work…
In the 1970s, related cookers are making a comeback and this book is a solid entry into the growing list of slow cookbooks. One Caveat prep work is as important, if not more than the ingredients. The book dedicates a number of pages to use, care and cleaning of a slow cooker, somewhat negating the toss it in and forget about it '' mentality I had about my slow cooker, but the results prove how worthy these tips are! Several soups, plenty of pasta, a myriad of meat, delectable fish and flavorful dessert recipes comprise most of the book, with tips on how to customize them to your family's palate.

   You want Delicious?
Growing up in a large family, my mother always made one-pot meals and, being Hungarian, these meals were always full of flavor. Frying or boiling food removes some of the flavor while slow cooking in a crock pot blends the flavors. I always opt for the flavor. Coupled with a Mediterranean style diet, provides the most healthful offering as well as deliciousness. When I cook, I go for flavor, thus the slow cooker. I have made many of the recipes in this cookbook, as I am always looking for new ideas.

   If zero stars were possible...
If I could give a negative review, I would give it. This book looks no pictures in it at all and it has printed like this on some cheap copy paper. There are much better book options out there with better recipes and high quality printing.

   Not really a good cookbook
He is Unclear, who is the author. Press Salinas is the only reference. Some of the recipes fit the Mediterranean category of cooking hardly. Many require multiple steps that are not as easy as a slow cooker - recipe book implies. Like the pineapple marmalade like salsa. And lots of pasta dishes, which are not great in a slow cooker.

   Easy way to a great eating life style
I bought this book because my doctor told me that as a diabetic, I needed to find a diet plan that had improved, since I was reduced to a predisbtic with a 5.6 A1c. To keep my progress, I bought this book because I want to engage in a better life style. I am also lazy and cooking in a crockpot is just the ticket for me. The two or three dishes I tried so far were excellent. I've turned on relatives who will probably get copies of their own. What is not to like to set it up in the morning and enjoy later in the afternoon. How can you go wrong? How can you miss a semi illiterate unless you're a semi-literate? I'm retired, I don 't need drama in preparing to eat good food.
