Book Overview

Where Is the Hope in Grief for a Young Amish Widow?

Sylvia has been nearly paralyzed with grief and anxiety since the tragic death of her husband, father, and brother in a traffic accident. She tries to help in the family's greenhouse while caring for her two young children, but she prefers not to have to deal with customers. Her mother's own grief causes her to hover over her children and grandchildren, and Sylvia seeks a diversion. She takes up birdwatching and soon meets an Amish man who teaches her about local birds. But Sylvia's mother doesn't trust Dennis Weaver, and as the relationship sours, mysterious attacks on the greenhouse start up again.

The perfect read for a weekend binge:)
Wanda Brunstetter has a knack for weaving stories that draw her readers in, making us feel present, rather than simple spectators. We get to know the characters and always find solace in the simplicity of the Amish community in which her stories are set. They provide such a contemporary break from the hustle of our joyful lives. The Robin's greeting is the second book in the Amish Greenhouse mystery trilogy and is a perfect choice for these last days of winter when the little signs of spring begin to pop up. It would make for a wonderful lunch break or better yet a weekend binge.

   Such a nosey neighbor!
This book is very well written and I hope the nosey neighbor Virginia will soon learn the true Amish lifestyle so that she can enjoy life more. The new loves of Dennis and Sylvia is such a beautiful relationship and looks forward to hearing more about them. Book is excellent.

Excellent read from beginning to end
All the characters make up a group to follow their story, whether it was beginning or continuing. The mystery of who has done it is a focus, but not the main focus and that is something I liked very much.

   Good book
May 29, 2020 Edit '' liked it a lot, Book 2 : The Mockingbirds Song by Wanda E Brunstetter in the Amish Greenhouse Mystery Series. Sylvia has struggled to cope with the tragic death of three family members. Her mother, who is slightly better off, is overcompensating by hovering over her grown children. Will both these women be able to come to terms with their loss or will they lose all hope and faith? There are many twists and turns in this book and I found myself at times wishing that book would simply get to the point. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to book 3 in the series because, just like this book, it takes some people quite awhile to recover from a death and others will recover much sooner. I would recommend this book to everyone.

   Romance and mystery lovers
I don 't read many romance books. I want a good, clean romance that leaves you feeling warm and cherished. This book has mixed some mystery and some deeper emotions, but is still the same writing quality I expect when I read a book by Wanda Brunstetter.

   Another enjoyable book!
With another great Wanda Brunstetter book, The Mockingbird's Song, the second book in the Amish Greenhouse Mystery series, is a story to be lost with love, loss and a little bit of mystery. I truly enjoyed reading this series and can 't wait to read the third book. I received a copy of this book from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This is my honest opinion of the book.

   Good read
I read one book in this series and was disappointed. When I had the opportunity to read and review this book, I almost didn 't. I am glad that I did, however. It is the storyline and continues much better than the first book. It left me guessing who was doing the vandalism, just when I thought I knew that I was wrong. I can 't wait to read the final book in the series to see how it all comes together and ends.
