Book Overview

When it comes to dating, I seem to be going around in a circle. The ones I want don't want me, and the ones who want me, I don't want. -Amelia

A novel full of truths about dating, separations and love: direct, raw and damn revealing.

After a sudden end with another guy she finally opened-up to, Amelia is thrown into a vortex of conflicting thoughts and emotions. Once again, she is forced to reflect on her life and what dating means in the modern world. The answers she finds, especially through a new male friend who unveils the way guys really think, makes her even more determined to find something more real. It all helps set her free.maybe.

I don't know, I just think there's too much miscommunication between guys and girls. I mean, no one knows what the fuck is going on. We need to have the discussion. We need to vent it and get it out in the open, I said, grabbing my drink from the bedside table.

_______ sat on the edge of the bed and put his shirt back on. What do you want to know?

I just want to know what guys are thinking. I mean we have sex and stuff and nothing lasting ever comes of it, I said, taking a cigarette out and lighting it. I knew I shouldn't be smoking in the room, but I was too drunk to care.

I don't think I should say. Read More chevron_right

   Basic romance novel
This book is terrible. I don't know how it ended up on my suggested list. I will return it. I wish I could get back to reading the first few pages.
   Recommend Read
It helps you understand that break ups suck and that situations are common to most. It can help your healing process.
It really helps me see things more clearer.
I saw some quotes on the internet and decided to buy them in Taiwan. I will share it with my senior high girls. I believe the way it helps me see things clearly will help them in the future.
   I liked it
It's a good read, from the eyes of men and women, and how they handle hookups and relationshipahips.
Even if you’re not going through a break up read this book
The book gives a lot of insight. I have found what Amelia wants at the end of my wedding. I will definitely be reading this book again.
   Helpful and entertaining book
The advice given to each friend in the book made me wish I had a friend to do the same, as it was written in a way I wasn't expecting. Enjoyed the read.
Good book to read for any gender
The first 2 chapters felt a little feminine but as I read the rest of the book, I realized that human emotions are the same from person to person. Hope you enjoy as much as I did. Amelia, go!
   A book full of gems!
I wanted more! I felt like I was reading conversations between my bestfriend and I about relationships, self love, and life experiences. So good. A book full of gems. I'd read it again. Amelia is at this exact stage in her life. I loved it! The author knows my life.
   Modern Break Up
I love this book. If you just broke up with someone, this is a great book to read. The author gives solutions to problems that you might face after a break up.
A let down. Just like my dating life.
This book was disappointing and I didn't like it. I wanted to enjoy it. The writing was not very good and it was too young. As a single woman in this new era of dating, I wanted something more out of it, and I get that it is. I don't know what. It missed the mark for me.
