I'd recommend trying one of the other editions

My comments are not about the novel, but about this Kindle edition _ the diagrams and pictures which are apparently critical to solving the puzzle are missing. I am only a quarter of the way in, but have already missed 4 drawings _ 2 diagrams of the layout, a picture of a clue, etc., which Christie felt were important to include. I peeked at the end to see if they were there, and there was a photo of Christie and other info, but it was all a publicity stunt. If you're not satisfied with the first, I would recommend trying one of the other editions.

The mysterious affair at styles
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
Like all of Christie's work, the book is "phenomenal." My reason for rating this book only 1 star is to warn other potential readers that this version has some serious flaws. At least a dozen times, sentences are repeated, which is not so bad. However, there are just as many instances where all or most of a sentence is missing. It's very confusing to come across a random word or to have a detail referred to, only to go back and find that original detail is not there.

Intelligent and full of common sense.
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
Hercule Poirot is the second Hercule Poirot book that I have read, and the first that Agatha Christie wrote. Hercule Poirot's thoughtful way of approaching suspects and the simple way he seems to make hypothesis and prove his little ideas through questioning and common sense are what drew me to the book. In both stories, I have read so far, The Mysterious Affair at Styles and The Halloween Party, there is another character trying to piece together the evidence and come up with a solution. I felt a little more confident with my ability to wear the costume than I did with Affair at Styles, he said. I went down all kinds of garden paths, Mr. Goin said. Her writing style is very readable, and her sense of humor is marvelous. I think I am going to take notes on the next one I read and see how many suspects I can prove or disprove!

Buy the Fully Restored Edition for the illustrations!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
It was a total waste of money, and I had to buy it twice. The Kindle edition of The Handmaid's Tale was missing the illustrations. The Kindle fully restored edition included them and helped make the mystery seem more real. I'm not saying it was bad taste, but I thought it played fairly with the reader. Hercule Poirot was a very good detective. I cannot believe I had missed out on this great series. I'm going to work others into my reading for next year, Mr. Dhaliwal said. If you've read it, I think you might enjoy revisiting it.

Get an education while you enjoy yourself

The style of the older writers is delightful, he said. One picks up bits of history as you read. The writer is not in the time frame. For us it was the past. The writer's style is full of footnotes and grammar mistakes were not allowed. The writer, for example, is being paid $65,000 a year to pen a book. It's a great book, especially for kids. One has fun, one learns, Harrison said. What one would expect from a prime minister?

What a wonderful way to spend so time
Derived From Web , Dec 22, 2020
2020 has been a difficult enough year, then circle in the tricky year end holidays and what's a person to do? Agatha Christie's "The Mousetrap" was a smash hit with the young widow. That really works, I think. It's great to be back home, said Blair.

Bad Edition, Buy a Different One
Derived From Web , Aug 1, 2020
Buy another edition that doesn't have the rampant errors in text. Compare that to the preview pages of the other two magazines. The front page of the magazine is unreadable. The Harrisons' lawyer Paul LiCalsi said: "The publisher should be ashamed."

Do. Not. Buy.
Derived From Web , May 8, 2019
Please, do not buy this edition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's just that they call it quits." It does not include any maps that should be included. A letter, an envelope, are all that remain after the writer has left. Quattrone said: "There's just too many police officers on the street who don't know what they're doing." Where did this book come from? There is NO copyright information or publisher listed on this site. It was a blank page, with no one's name or address on the back. That said, the Beatles' music "will live on." Amazon claims that Peter Costello's book is illegal and therefore cannot be published. Turner said he would have liked to have seen the DVD player "rotated a bit more." There are no such PAGE numbers. Just buy a different copy, because the book itself is AMAZING!

Great Read

I must admit, this is the first time I have read a Poirot book. I'm delighted the book was chosen, Graham said. Definitely recommend this book and I plan to read more of them.

Buyer beware: obvious bootleg
Derived From Web , Apr 21, 2019
This review is specifically for the printer that received it. The Harrisons' lawyer, Paul LiCalsi, said the book was "clearly a bootleg." The cover is pixelated, obviously taken from a random low-resolution photo posted on the Internet. The book is not printed with the title on the back. The entire interior of the book is centered, not justified or left-aligned, he said. The writer's name is misspelled on the back of the book.
